Oh man, that would be tough. Right on the fence. The picks are fine, 1 of those would basically be Watson himself, because we'd still get a player this year. But giving up Sweat makes me squeamish. If we did that, we would need to re-sign Kerrigan.
Long term we're not going to be able to pay Sweat and CY. Just like not we're not going to be able to pay both Allen and Payne. Not too early to start thinking of them as assets to move in possible trades.

I wouldn't either.
I wouldn't be against giving 2 1sts, 2 2nds and 2 players either. Obviously a lot depends on the players though.
Curl and Allen?
Yeah, I'd do that.
No way I would do that -- that's 3 1st round picks (as Allen was one), 2 2nds, and 2 legit starters. Way too much for one player -- I don't care who it is. And it isn't like we're one player away from a Super Bowl. Even if we sort our our QB situation, we will still need help at LT, MLB, FS, CB, WR, and TE. When have we ever seen teams that mortgage their futures like this find success?

Watson is an ELITE QB, He would instantly come in and be the best QB we've had in 30 years... maybe ever. He's 25 and makes everyone around him better. His character is amazing from what players and coaches have said. Dabo Sweeney said "He's the MJ of college football" when he had him at Clemson.

I would do it...2 firsts, a second, Sweat and Collins. All day. Get the best WR in free agency to go with Terry...and if everyone stays relatively healthy...we're definitely in the playoffs next season competing. There is NO pick in this years draft or next that could do that for this team.

I havent seen Watson play enough to have strong convictions either way. I would rather keep Sweat, I love Allen but of the big 5 he is the most expendable.
Jon Allen is almost criminally underrated by fans it seems. I see him getting locked up long term.

He is, I agree with that. However, if I had the choice of which 1st rounder to include in an offer it would be either Allen or Payne. For the same reasons as has been discussed, with their contracts expiring in the next year or two, and you can absorb that loss a little easier than losing either Sweat or Chase - from a production standpoint.

Seahawks were able to pay Kam, Earl, and Sherman for a while. I think we can pay both Sweat and Young but we will see. No way we can keep everyone though

Rivera knows that our front 4 has a half-life of just two years before it falls apart. Very good players want to get PAID after their rookie contract. There is no team loyalty when it comes to that. The team can only keep so many of their drafted players. That’s why Kerrigan is the only long-term player.
Getting a guy like Watson is like super-charging your team. Suddenly, you have the best Redskin QB of all time. However, I just don’t think we have the juice to get him, unless Houston will take Payne /Collins plus the draft picks. Other teams will offer the KINGS ransom!
Alex Smith needs to be let go. He’s NOT worth $21 mill. He has almost no mobility left and is another calf injury away from missing a lot of the season. Teams will simply blitz him heavy and often, and getting sacks he can’t avoid due to his very, very limited movement (not even running). ability. He’s done, if he is ready to roll the dice for one more season.
Heinicke deserves a shot at the QB job. Getting an off-season to bulk up, practice with the WR and getting first team reps could get him even better than the Bucs game. I don’t think that game was a fluke.
Draft the best QB left after the TOP 3 QB are gone. There are plenty of top QB in the NFL now who weren’t the #1 or #2 QB in the draft. With a good Qb draft pick and Heinicke we have a very good chance of finding the franchise QB.
Getting a couple of OL draft picks and an elite FA WR and our new QB will get this offense into at least an average range (versus near the bottom). Medium offense and top 5 Defense = playoffs.

If you want Watson, make sure you’re prepared to give up at least one player you’re emotionally attached to. That’s just the way it is.
