Here is an interesting article on Goff. Don't know if the link works but it basically says Detroit needs to trade Goff now that his contract lost the dead cap to LA. Would you give Detroit anything straight up for Goff?

At this point I would talk to the Jets about the 2nd overall and go for Wilson, if they decide to draft Wilson then Darnold. Option # 2 draft Mac Jones despite not playing in the Senior Bowl, he impressed the scouts.

The Los Angeles Times' Sam Farmer reports the Rams "made a run" at Aaron Rodgers, but that the Packers were "adamant" he is not on the block.
Rodgers had his fun stirring the pot following the Packers' NFC Championship Game loss to the Bucs, but all parties have spent the past week either strongly suggesting in Rodgers' case or outright insisting in the team's case that he will be back in Green Bay in 2021.
Rodgers isnt going anywhere...move on from that thought

No, that was the point of the article.
Overthecap.com has his contract as this:
year: Base Salary Roster Bonus
2021: $25,650,000 $2,500,000
2022: $10,650,000 $15,500,000
2023: $20,650,000 $5,000,000
2024: $21,650,064 $5,000,000
That is a manageable contract to take on for a QB who will be 27 this year.
I would at least explore it.

I just disagree that Watson is worth two first rounders, two second rounders, and 2 young quality defensive starters.
A qb is not worth 6 quality-to-elite players. Not realistic. Our playoff hopes don't hinge on Deshaun Watson.

Take out the 2 defensive starters and I'd do it

I'd rather not use players. Losing Payne would be a huge loss
