I don't think the Eagles brass dumped Pederson only to turn around and now trade Wentz. I don't see them giving up on him.
I don't think they can financially afford to move on from Wentz. No one is going to take over that contract.

$35 mil cap hit this coming year, and $30 mil+ cap hits for the next 4 seasons.
If they cut him before the 2021 season, he'll count for $59 mil in dead cap space!

It would depends on how much he wants it, how much of his guarantees he is willing to sign away to allow a move, and there is still the lingering locker room issue

Wentz will be back in Philly. He had a bad year. It happens. That doesn't mean you move on from him. Doesn't mean he will continue to play bad. Hit the reset and try and get him to play better. The new coach should come in and squash the QB talk and name Wentz the starter. But also make it clear that guys at all positions are competing.

If we do go after him, I say we should include Landon Collins in the deal. Excessive cap number and Curl took his job.
We can't bench Curl now. Get Landon off the books.
No one is stupid enough to trade for Collins. If they are then they should not be in the NFL. He is coming off a serious injury, he is slow and can't cover, the injury will make him slower, he wasn't even good in the box which is supposedly his strength. Collins to me is not even worthy of being on a roster. A 7th round rookie played better than he did.

New #Lions GM Brad Holmes on Matthew Stafford: "It is my job to evaluate the entire roster, and through that process, I have not had any conversations with any player, so I just want to be fair to that process. But obviously, Matt is a very good football player."
Anytime a GM says these words it makes you think he's open to dealing
lets say they are open to moving him.
What's the cost? Multiple #1's gets you talking. Just not worth it to me.

Naw just #19 , if they want more say NO
Really doubt the price for Stafford would get to the level of multiple firsts. Probably more along the lines of what it cost us to get Alex Smith.

Most likely between the two, IMO. Almost certain to cost more than Smith did - the demand is much higher. Look how many teams are in the market. I agree that multiple firsts is probably more than anyone is willing to pay. I've seen a first and a third as being the estimated price multiple times, and that sounds logical to me, given the circumstances.

We have 2 3rd rounders this year. If our 1st and lower 3rd rounder can close the deal, I'm all for it. That is the absolute maximum tho. Think of Stafford firing that fucking pigskin to McLaurin!! Get 'er done.
