Not sure I can agree. From what I heard the playbook was simplified so much for Heinicke in the playoff game that it wouldn't be sustainable for 16 games. That performance was a one game stop gap. We will get a chance to see what he can do with a full playbook this year, see if he actually has NFL skills.He joined the team in December. Of course it was a limited playbook.

I believe he's technically a free agent since he signed a 1 year deal with NE. But like Matty said, I don't see him coming here, when we have backups in place.
