Apparently there's two situations where Alex Smith (and his camp) felt slighted which led to Alex's comments.

1. Rivera saying that if Washington had a healthy Kyle Allen, they likely would have been in the same position as they were with Smith. (which is probably very true)

2. The fact that he did not start in Washington's playoff game. (Really?)

Gimme a break Alex.

Football Team will wait them out for sure. No need to make that trade. I would trade for Darnold though. I will confess I don't know much about him other than when he tore up the Redskins in 2019. I was listening the Sheehan and he said alot of "football people" what ever that means, I am assuming scouts, personnel and GMs, are high on Darnold.

There are rumors that the Jets will keep him and build around him, possibly trading out of #2 also. Adam S. Mentioned it on Get up today

He was awful in most of his games, he is done. Arm is weak and he can’t move at all anymore. Dude has 1 leg

Interesting stat

Over the last 20 years the Colts have had a 1st round pick (2 of those being the #1 overall pick) start at QB for 17 of those 20 years.

They have 1 Super bowl to show for it.

Wentz will be the 4th 1st round pick the Colts will start at QB since 2000.

That's nuts

And they were 1st overall, 1st overall, 4th overall and now 1st overall. It's not as if they were just first round picks. They were extreeeeemely high first round picks.

Yep which tells us that QB is very important but you still need a team around them of course

It does? That stat is odd to me or non sense

It doesn’t tell me anything.

If anything it tells me QB is a position teams over reach for in the draft.

Off the top of my head I guess the team with the most SB wins over the last 20 years had a 5th rounder starting at QB for them the majority of the time.

I think getting a true franchise QB is literally like winning the NFL lottery. There is a lot luck involved in landing that guy.

I agree it’s not silly at all .. look at it like this , if we had a top five pick and we selected say Fields and he got hurt and could not play for several seasons .. we would be out of one pick for that time .. if we give up 2 number ones and a second and starting player for a QB and same thing happens what are we out of ? Best not to trade away too much or as some say put all your eggs in one basket ... there is a huge difference ..

Exactly.

Using our team name in conversation just sounds/reads so funny.

Best not to trade away too much or as some say put all your eggs in one basket ... there is a huge difference ..Lets say we draft a qb with our spot, he busts, the next year we pick top 15 winning because of our D. We take another qb. He also busts now we have wasted the picks and still dont have a solution. This is the cycle we have been in.

You take a risk in any move, and all you have to do is look at all the qb busts in the league to know that IF you can get a major confirmed talent you pay and be happy about it.
