EdmundDorf 02-16-2021, 04:53 PM Doesn't McCaffrey have to agree to that? Ruhskins 02-16-2021, 04:53 PM REPORT: Panthers are preparing to make a strong push for Deshaun Watson and "will do whatever it takes” to get him, including giving up three first-round draft picks and Christian McCaffrey (H/T : @DNewtonespn ) Looks like this is more of a prediction by the reporter, as opposed to a report: https://twitter.com/DNewtonespn/status/1361769618482855943 skinsfaninok 02-16-2021, 05:00 PM Doesn't McCaffrey have to agree to that? Nope Ruhskins 02-16-2021, 05:07 PM Based on what I've read on the Watson situation, whether he gets traded or not is going to depend both on the Texans AND Watson. I doubt Watson is going to go the Jets or a McCaffrey-less Panthers team or New England or any rebuilding team. Watson will likely going to want to go to a team where he can compete right away. Outside of Miami, I don't think there are many teams that have the draft capital, cap space, and personnel to lure Watson. skinsfan69 02-16-2021, 05:26 PM Based on what I've read on the Watson situation, whether he gets traded or not is going to depend both on the Texans AND Watson. Outside of Miami, I don't think there are many teams that have the draft capital, cap space, and personnel to lure Watson. just don't see anyone giving up multiple years 1st rounders for watson. miami's going to give up on tua after one year? no way. i still believe watson plays for the texans or sits at home. watson and his camp are just making a bunch of noise i believe. MTK 02-16-2021, 05:29 PM I don't think Tua would be a deciding factor for Miami. Hell yeah they'd give up on him for Watson, that's not even a question. Chief X_Phackter 02-16-2021, 05:38 PM just don't see anyone giving up multiple years 1st rounders for watson. miami's going to give up on tua after one year? no way. i still believe watson plays for the texans or sits at home. watson and his camp are just making a bunch of noise i believe. I think probably 1/3 of the league would give up multiple 1st rounders for Watson. Ruhskins 02-16-2021, 05:39 PM just don't see anyone giving up multiple years 1st rounders for watson. miami's going to give up on tua after one year? no way. i still believe watson plays for the texans or sits at home. watson and his camp are just making a bunch of noise i believe. I think it'd be stupid for the Texans to pull a Bruce Allen and insist on keeping a player, that has trade value, who doesn't want to play for them anymore. The Texans are in rebuild mode, and getting 3 first rounders, would set them up for a nice rebuild for the next two years. No one expect them to be good this year, and they would likely have a high draft pick or be able to trade up in 2022. skinsfaninok 02-16-2021, 06:34 PM The Jets are so far away from being good , Watson wouldn’t save them right now so there is no point in giving up 3 1s if I’m the Jets Chief X_Phackter 02-16-2021, 07:12 PM The Jets are so far away from being good , Watson wouldn’t save them right now so there is no point in giving up 3 1s if I’m the Jets Honestly if I'm the Jets, I'm dealing Darnold to the highest bidder, keeping all my draft picks, and drafting Zach Wilson at #2. They could end up with the 2nd best QB in the draft in Wilson, and six more picks in the top 100: #s 23, 34, 66, 87, 98, and whatever they get for Darnold. |
