Exactly 3 weeks until the league year starts.

Lots of WR options out there. Hopefully we end up with at least 1 of them.

I would be shocked if we didn't sign a WR to take the #2 spot.

Agreed. I would be pissed if we didn't. We need a bona-fide No. 2.

Problem is the likely 3 top candidates, Robinson, Godwin and Golladay, are likely to be tagged (if not re-signed) so we could be fighting over the 'scraps'. NFL.com article suggests Jets should go after Samuel and we'll end up with Fuller. Wouldn't say no to Fuller, but I'd rather have Samuel, not least because he doesn't have a suspension in place.

The Bears would be clowns if they let AR go for nothing

That would really open up our options in the draft. Especially our first four picks. WR is clearly the deepest free agency market. We really need a number two so we can address the O line and the middle of our defense and cb in the draft. That would be a dream scenario. We would be complete! (Realizes we still need a quarterback [emoji22]).
If Jones falls to us at 19 or another one of the top qb’s take them. Then address the o line and mlb.

“If he goes to market, he’s probably going to get top money,” said Jason Fitzgerald, a salary-cap and contract expert for Over the Cap. “He’s got too much pedigree behind him. You’re really not going to compromise much on price.” Fitzgerald predicted a $15.5 million average annual salary with $35 million in guarantees for Scherff, who told reporters after the season that he “absolutely” wanted to return.

15.5/year is the amount I'd offer. He got 15 million last year, hard to imagine he'd not want a raise on his salary in whatever contract he signed.

Yeah I'd be good with 15.5M/yr. The only thing that'd make me reluctant to going higher is availability issues...

If I'm BS I might opt to take the $18M tag this year and hit the open market next year.
