Just some random stuff
Ron Rivera, Jack Del Rio, and players talk about OTAs (https://www.hogshaven.com/2021/6/2/22465297/ron-rivera-jack-del-rio-and-players-talk-about-otas)
I'm really curious to see how our LBs shake out. Do we start Davis middle and Holcomb and Hudson outside? Curious to hear anyone's thoughts on LBs on roster that are best fit outside if we start Davis MLB.

I heard that was a possibility. The LB spot could go from a glaring weakness to a strength if that works out.
Holcolmb - SLB
Davis - MLB
Hudson - WLB

I'd be fine with keeping Bostic off the field, he was incredibly disappointing last season.
Sidenote, Khaleke Hudson is listed as 6'0" 220... not your big LB, but less undersized than he looked on the field. Maybe he can develop into a traditional LB with a couple of extra pounds. I thought he was more hybrid LB/nickel.
I'd still like bringing KJ Wright on a one year deal. I mean he's 32 and still unsigned, how expensive can he be now ?

"Once again, first-round pick Jamin Davis was at the MIKE linebacker spot instead of on the outside. For the first time, Del Rio and Rivera confirmed that is the plan for him to stay inside moving forward."

Great news, no more Bostic calling the shots while obviously having no clue what he's supposed to do.

Kinda big and a lil surprising this is happening so fast. I thought he would be at wil…with a chance to move to the middle in the future
Welp, Ron and JDR got their middle linebacker

Depends how well he calls the defence and gets the others in correct position. That is Bostics strength and why RR and JDR like him at MLB. They are trying Davis out at MLB as at this point it is good experience, it is still likely he will move outside with Bostic coming in at MLB when camp starts to wind down and preparation for the first games is ongoing. Davies has to get aclimated to playing in the NFL before handing over the whole defence to him. I think it is likely we'll see him as 2nd string MLB during the preseason and they will see how he fares.

Given RR and JDR's track record with dominant LB play, I won't be shocked if Davis becomes a force at MLB quickly. I think it would shock me more if he didn't establish himself quickly.

Couple other observations:
Second-year OL Saahdiq Charles, who Rivera described as having a very good offseason, was also held out as a maintenance day, per the WFT head coach.
This dude could be a stud and we got zero from him last year. John Keim has said his future is a guard. Charles could be a Chico “quiet baller” selection.
Rookie tight end John Bates had a nice outstretched-hand grab. He appears to be the real deal through rookie camp and OTAs. Tight end Sammis Reyes had another easy/uncontested drop during individuals drills. This is a problem at this point in his development, especially with Bates' emergence as the TE No. 2. The one thing Reyes can hope to bring to the table this year for Washington is his athleticism and potential pass-catching ability. He's had at least one drop every time we've been allowed at practice.
Hype train Reyes should chill, but Bates real deal is great news. If Bates can be the second TE and contribute in that roll this season, watch out
