Right....but it’s hard to state it as a rock solid fact like you do when you don’t necessarily know who was supposed to be doing what on any given play. Also looking at two games when the guy has played several years may not be an accurate sample size. For all we know he had a bum shoulder or something in those games and they told him to lay off heavy contact. 🤷*♂️ By all accounts we got a really good player, so I wouldn’t sweat it just yet.
Agree with everything you said there. My point was to highlight something to keep an eye on, and be ready that this may be one of his weaknesses. The main point of my posts on him was to say how great a signing this looks to be.

Definitely something I'll be keeping an eye when the season starts. Hopefully it won't matter if our LB's and safeties can diag quick and move up on running plays.

I don't know how my posts come off. I'm a fan of this signing. I'm just saying on 2 games, the only knock I saw was he looked kinda of hesitant to go make a play on the ball carrier.Your post was fine, my nevermind was because i had written something but when i looked back at the play I was wrong. ( i thought a RB had leaked out the backside of the play for a potential reverse) All is good.

I would bet plenty of corners shy away from contact at times. They're not the biggest dudes out there and they don't get paid for hitting.

Looking forward to seeing him play. I just realized I posted more about the one little knock I saw on him than on the main thing that was how good his coverage looks!

Obviously the scouting report on him isn't big, physical corner who steps up in run defense.
If he can shut down WR's in the pass game that's good enough for me.

They also often don't reach contract incentives sitting on sidelines injured from trying to be LBs. A corner has to tackle, he doesn't have to hit. Huge difference.

Come on man, being jacked =/= success in the NFL. Ask Laron Landry how that worked out for him.
If he can't learn technique or he gets injured all those weightlifting sessions aren't gonna help him make the team.
Apples oranges. Takes much more than size, but Tebow is naturally a 220# or so guy in terms of natural body weight. No chance of playing TE in NFL at that size. He did what he had to and bulked up for his new position. Doesn't mean he is second coming of Tony Gonzalez, but is what you expect from high character guy like him. Keep in mind he is also a QB in a pinch, meaning you could keep 2 QBs if you dress him. I would not be surprised at all if he makes roster as #3 or #4 TE with intended use in some gimmick play packages where he throws. I think Meyer is only keeping him if he is truly one of top 53 players.

And how do we know Tebow won't be a good ST player? Don't think anyone expects him to be #1 TE, but nothing says he can't make the team as depth.

Tebow's natural position based on body type is not a traditional TE, but an H-back like Gibbs used frequently.
