Keep him.
What happens with Kyle Smith?Burgold 12-02-2020, 11:36 AM Keep him. Redskins247 12-02-2020, 12:25 PM I can't imagine them not offering him another contract but surprised they have not done so already, along with a promotion ie. GM. Maybe he's not been a "YES MAN" for Snyder, so Dan has somewhat held him back. Still anxious to see when and what this report on Snyder shows...even if it doesn't force him out...it may push him further out on the football operations and decisions...hopefully. Chico23231 12-02-2020, 01:32 PM Losing Smith would be on the same level as losing John Schneider who went on to help the Packers and then is the architect of the Seattle Seahawks last 10 year run as GM AnonEmouse 12-02-2020, 04:41 PM On the one hand re-signing him before his contract is up makes sense in avoiding seeing him poached, but on the other, with the college season messed up and so the scouting period is probably going to run onto spring, maybe Ron wants to see what plan he comes up with for the draft before re-signing him? mooby 12-02-2020, 05:57 PM Losing Smith would be on the same level as losing John Schneider who went on to help the Packers and then is the architect of the Seattle Seahawks last 10 year run as GM I'm disappointed nobody took the bait earlier but seriously this isn't a good debate. Smith has been as good, if not better, than anybody who has worked for the team in the last 30 years. He will be extended, and if he isn't my faith in Rivera will drastically plummet. rocnrik 12-02-2020, 09:07 PM Oh .. I took double take at your post but realized it was sarcastic... 😀 we need Smith Chief X_Phackter 12-02-2020, 09:12 PM Chief, I'd feel pretty confident stating that your football comments are top 5 on this site, among a large majority of us, if not all of us. You have a license to say whatever the eff you want to. You have a sh&t ton of credibility points available. I appreciate that my friend. I tried to add fuel to the fire, but no one took the bite there either. sevier2 12-03-2020, 12:36 AM I think he'll stay on as GM. Rivera can't do everything and Smith has proven he can handle the job. By working together Smith can focus on picking the players that mesh well with Rivera's culture and Rivera can focus on catching them. Whether or not Ron agrees with that will determine Smith's fate. mooby 12-03-2020, 11:13 AM I tried to add fuel to the fire, but no one took the bite there either. Thanks. Just thought you should know I think your comments are top 5 on this site :D |
