Mark Brunell. He's GOT to be good for something...Oh, wait. He's not. ;)
Who's going to return punts?JWsleep 06-07-2005, 03:58 PM Mark Brunell. He's GOT to be good for something...Oh, wait. He's not. ;) TheMalcolmConnection 06-07-2005, 04:31 PM I generally don't like the idea of a #1 wideout returning punts - so forget Moss. Thrash isn't as explosive as he used to be. Dyson's got too many injuries to be counted on. So Brown it is! By the process of elimination... Monksdown 06-07-2005, 04:49 PM brown... he's SOOO fast, and since he's not that a great a receiver, injury concerns aren't a big deal. How funny would it be if you were the General Manager, and you used that logic when explaining your decision to Mr. Brown. Haha cpayne5 06-07-2005, 04:57 PM I think Thrash will be the punt returner, with Antonio Brown and Thrash returning kicks (Brown being primary). jrocx69 06-07-2005, 05:23 PM id much rather have brown returning punts, he is so small and fast and did a much better job than thrash IMO even though brown avg'd 8.9 per PR to thrash's 8.8. brown was much more elusive and polished. thrash will be one of our KR's, Defensive SP's, and in on max protect 3 wide sets on offense. gibbs loves thrash's smarts and blocking for a wr. so i see alot of motion out of him like last season setting up portis and max protecting when needed. mooby 06-07-2005, 05:27 PM that game you are thinking of is against detroit last season. james thrash downed like three punts inside the 5 i think. that was great. i think i will be seeing him on kickoff and punting duties this season, but not on punt returning duties. i look for antonio brown doing punts, and betts/thrash doing kickoffs. i think mike sellers will be h-back this season if he starts getting less penalties. that will put chris cooley back as our starting tight end, which i loved last season. cooley was a great dependable red zone threat last year. BossHog 06-07-2005, 05:59 PM Brown, Thrash, and Betts. Thrash is still relatively high on the WR depth chart though. It seems like the FO dropped the ball on putting a sound WR corps on the field. :oink: TheMalcolmConnection 06-07-2005, 06:01 PM I just like Thrash on punt coverage. He is the MAN on that. Daseal 06-07-2005, 07:39 PM Brown with Betts as a second option. monk81 06-08-2005, 07:45 PM Thrash and Brown.......sounds like a law firm ;) |
