Davis just doesn't excite me but it's a solid group

He would walk in the door as immediately our 2nd best WR by a longshot.

If we draft WR would you go for a speed or size? Can't help thinking that Gandy-Golden and Cam Sims offer the size option (and I like what Sims showed later last season), so we should go for another blazer opposite McLaurin. We really need to be able to stretch the field more consistently to help the run game if nothing else.

I'd agree with waiting until rd2+ to pick a WR unless the guy is BPA when we pick at #19. We don't have a big sample set but we haven't had success with 1st round WR's since Art Monk!

Chase, Waddle or Smith would be excellent at 19. Not quite as high on Toney, but wouldn't be mad at that either.

Imagine this WR group:

Terry McLaurin
Corey Davis
Kadarius Toney
Cam Sims

replace Sims with Harmon and weSims'll see . . . Corey Davis is OK, but not great. He certainly never lived up to his draft hype. Sims is as inconsistent as they come and is SLOW. He would be better off adding 15 - 20 pounds and moving to TE.

I don't know man.

65 catches, 984 yards, and 5 TDs opposite AJ Brown...

Better catch rate than AJ Brown, Terry McLaurin, and Allen Robinson...

Terry would be 1A, Davis would be 1B.

I like this a lot.

First round OT.
Second round QB falls into our lap.
And Paris Ford and Charles Snowden are just good football players.

Obviously would hope we added some LB and WR help via free agency. But this draft feels good to me.

QBs are always drafted too high. No way Jones lasts until 19 in the second round. I wish this would happen, but I don’t see it.

Yeah I agree. Depending on how we address QB before the draft, I could easily see us pulling the trigger on Jones if he is still there in the first round.

I go back and forth on Jones. I could see him being great (he feels like a Drew Brees -- not off the charts in physical ability, but smart as hell, and runs the system to perfection). And I could see him being a big teaset (a la Kirk Cousins - lotsa stats, but never breaking through when it counts)

Getting him in the second round? I think he's a solid pick.

But in the first? Who knows ...

It’s definitely going to be interesting.
