sdskinsfan2001 01-27-2021, 01:47 PM Darrisaw or a stud WR in the 1st.... bamas LB Moses in 2nd or 3rd .. idk I really dont get a chance to watch a lot of college ball so i go by mock drafts lol sigh
I feel like theres 19 plus players in this years tier 1 when usually its like 6-12 or so.
I do think we see 4 QBs go before our pick.
But does this draft feel deeper than usual for high end talent or am I just feeling that bc we have no. 19 and I need a deep draft as a fan with the no. 19 pick? if that makes sense
I like reading and doing mock drafts just to see different names. Punch posted 1 and I knew who every player was besides the very last pick just from reading mocks. That is their best redeeming quality. Everyone is just guessing what front offices are thinking. No real truth on 99% of the actual picks.
The older you get the harder it is to watch a lot of random games. I pretty much only watch my teams at this point. I'll catch the 2nd half of other games if I can.
EdmundDorf 01-27-2021, 02:16 PM I don't like drafting WR in the 1st, I would rather have LT, MLB and FS, one of Darrisaw/Moehrig/Zaven Collins should be there.... WFT has so many needs that best player available is easy justify aside from DL

I'd gladly take all those guys you referenced. All solid picks for what our team needs.
sdskinsfan2001 01-27-2021, 08:10 PM Paris Ford is my favorite random player for this draft.
Ford and Curl would be good safety duo.

Defensewins 01-30-2021, 03:32 PM Didn’t realize the senior bowl week was underway. Not sure this article is worth anything but I like the sound of this late round sleeper blocking TE, something we need.
John Bates, TE, Boise State is not the fastest, quickest, nor the prettiest athlete on the field. Rather, he is a damn good football player and was efficient and productive in every area of the tight end position on Thursday.
He showed himself to be a terrific blocker and consistently controlled opponents at the point of attack. At the same time, he caught just about everything thrown at him. A late addition to the Senior Bowl, he increased his NFL Draft stock in Mobile.

SkinzWin 01-30-2021, 07:45 PM He seems to be coveted, but I am hesitant about him. He did have one great year, but he has only played in 18 games I think.
Dwayne Haskins had more experience than him leaving college.
Yeah but unlike Haskins, he’s reported to be a grinder. One of the hardest working, most detailed oriented, organized players you’ll ever meet. That’s a recipe for for success even if you have limited gam experiences. Those are the intangibles that help you grow. Unlike raw talent and a lazy work ethic.

Yeah, I don't know that much about him. Haven't seen one game of his. I'm sure he is all you describe him to be, but that won't make him ready for the NFL in 2021. If you are going to draft a player in the top of the 1st round, he should be coming in to start in year 1 - at least at some point.

Not if you’re Aaron Rodgers. And yes, I know, there was Brett Favre. But if he’s not ready, you get a 1-2 year bridge vet and let the kid grow. If the kid isn’t NFL ready, but has the requisite tools to excel, you got to look at it that way. I would honestly prefer it, bc it would give us another year or two to build a better line and skill position weapons so when the kid comes in you aren’t putting as much pressure on him to do more with less.

Aaron Rodgers was pick # 24, not the top half of the 1st round. I'd be more willing to let a QB sit for a year and learn if he's picked ~20-32. Lance is projected to be picked in the top 10, some mocks have him as early as #4. If that's the case, he should start day 1.

Mahomes was picked at #10.
I doubt if Lance starts day 1, no matter where he's drafted.
