skinsfaninok 10-08-2020, 12:14 PM I coach HS ball in Buffalo and the biggest message to all of our guys is SOCIAL MEDIA presence, believe it or not, coaches will pick and choose who they like most just from searching through their pages.. Haskins IG / Twitter is flashy (Diamonds, cars , subliminal messages , blaming others etc.) He acts like a child most of the time. Yeah he worked his ass off all off season and looks great but clearly he's not mature enough to be a QB in the NFL just yet. Maybe this is a wake up call for him.
htownskinfan 10-09-2020, 07:59 PM Agree.
He looked slow and out of shape at the combine. He did not look like an athlete.
Looked like he should be driving an icecream truck.
According to heavy.com Haskins ran among the slowest 40 time for a QB in NFL history.

Holy crap! That can't be right
Pervis_Griffith 10-10-2020, 10:15 PM So which college QB's should we be watching for next spring's draft? We're obviously gonna draft someone, probably pretty high.
Trevor Lawrence, Clemson
Justin Fields, Ohio State
These two will be at the very top of the draft, or should be. I guess we could be in contention here ... along with the rest of the NFC East.
Kellen Mond, Texas A&M
Sam Ehlinger, Texas
Brock Purdy, Iowa State
D'Eriq King, Miami
Ian Book, Notre Dame
Dark horse: Trey Lance, North Dakota State (the next Carson Wentz?)
Who else? What's Mel Kiper or Todd McShay say?
DYoungJelly 10-10-2020, 10:44 PM It seems like Scott and RR are very confident in Kyle so we'll see what he can do
Are they?
What coaches say publicly is usually not very reliable indicator of what they are thinking. The most recent example is the post game presser RR gave quickly followed by the benching
Or, do they just think he is the best guy on the roster and are talking up him and their decision to start him?
Hard to tell at this point. The only thing for sure is they have no confidence in Haskins.
I think most of the fans who really pay attention, members of this forum, probably share that opinion. Allen isn't the answer, just the best short term option of three.

Nailed it.

I like trask from Florida. Dan Mullen coached

If no Trevor Lawrence, I'd take Trey Lance.
Other possibilities at positions of need, PSU's LB Micah Parsons, Alabama CB Patrick Surtain, Oregon OT Penei Sewell
skinsfaninok 10-12-2020, 11:32 AM It's a loaded QB Class.
Trevor
Fields
Lance
Wilson
Trask
All could be 1st round guys
Monkeydad 10-12-2020, 11:36 AM ^ Zach Wilson looks like he'll be good in the NFL. Watched him for the first time this weekend.
Another one not to overlook is Alabama's Mac Jones...not in the first round probably but throws a nice deep ball. You can't play QB at Alabama without being elite.
With McLaurin, Gibson, Harmon and Sims back, plus others like Gandy-Golden and Wright...he could have some success. Just find him a TE.

Big fan of Wilson, he's legit. I think we'll be fine with this class but obviously you want Lawrence
