This is something I’ve been thinking about too:

Scott Turner, continue to install your offense and focus on the development of ALL young offense players, not just Haskins.

We have an entire stable of young guys on the offense and we need to see who can be coached and grow within the system. Scott Turner, don’t hold back others growth in spite of Haskins. Installed the offense so everyone can grow together.

This is the other aspect of it - if Dwayne keeps throwing picks the rest of the offense can't develop. You can't develop if you're not on the field.

So there does have to be some balance - Dwayne can't keep having games like today or you have to go to Kyle Allen or Alex Smith just so you can find out what you have in your young WRs and backs.

So bench him if his piss poor play continues? Because how do you develop the rest of the offense without a quarterback? I agree with you 100 percent but it is tough to develop parts of a whole....
What Schneed said ^ put in Allen and see if he can at least manage a game to see what other parts we have....

I may be in the minority here but I think there's a lot to like about Dwayne. Just have to keep in mind that he's very inexperienced. He needs to play through these struggles.

@AlGaldi
Josh Allen over his first 10 starts:
7 TDs vs. 11 INTs
6.37 yards per pass attempt
52.3 completion %

Dwayne Haskins over his first 10 starts:
11 TDs vs. 6 INTs
6.56 yards per pass attempt
58.2 completion %

Plus DH only started 14 games at OSU. That's not even a full pro season. He's very raw, hopefully he can develop.

Allen was mature and got with the right QB trainers this off season.. He also showed great potential last yr for the Bills.. I agree that Haskins is still very raw and needs the reps but if he's straight garbage and costing the team games in a very winnable division, you have to pull the plug. Unless of course you are openly tanking

Even a pre-injury Alex Smith would struggle to win 8 games with this team, just not enough weapons. I don't see any benefit to pulling the plug on Dwayne unless he's just a total disaster, and really yesterday was a little out of the ordinary for him. He hasn't played that poorly with turnovers since early on last year.

Haskins has rarely shown flashes of anything above being a top 15, top 20 QB but I agree that he is very inexperienced and once you account for that, he's played about as good as you can expect from him. We put in him a bad spot drafting him.

We don't have anyone else, including Alex, who is ready and able to do any better. I'd consider a trade for Trubisky just to give both QB's a better opportunity given Trubisky will be relegated to back up and Haskins needs to a backup behind someone like Alex or Foles for awhile.

Trade aside, you have to give Haskins 10 games. If he regresses, then give the ball to Kyle Allen the last 6 weeks and start to make a new plan for 2021.

Top 15?? You are being very generous lol. Haskins is bottom 2 right now since Mitch got benched.

RR on Haskins " You are not a rookie anymore, we have to see progression not regression"

I disagree Alex Smith wouldn’t be better right now. No way. I know he isn’t thenQB of the future but in a game like yesterday’s he’s have given us a better chance to win.

The team has decided to give Haskins a shot to prove he’s the QB of the future and they’re being patient. But there surely has to be limits.

RR talks of being patient with Cam Newton. He threw too many picks his rookie season, but he also threw for > 4000 yards. See: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/N/NewtCa00/gamelog/2011/

His game - as a true rookie in a new offense - was better on every level. To be clear, I am not as much doing the comparison of two players as much as I am making the point that RR perhaps didn’t have his patience tested like DH is testing his patience because his rookie QB then showed real promise; more so than ours has to date.
