I actually looked into tickets for this game, but the cost is STUPID...

Browns are favored by 6, we just got rolled by one Sooner Heisman, will it happen again this week?

I'm gonna have a hard time picking us as favorites all season. That handicap seems about right to me. Definitely a winnable game but I wouldn't think we were favorites.

Browns are a roller coaster. Who knows which team will show up.

Is it just me or is this year every team great "on paper" that we play? Typically, I can say, "Oh, there's a garbage team, we should be competitive." This year, not-so-much.

Browns are a train wreck, but a TALENTED train wreck. I read somewhere their entire offensive line, save that one rookie, is ranked in the top ten, so I don't see us suddenly destroying their line either.

And Myles Garrett against Geron Christian says it all.

I think Rivera and/or Matsoko want to see what Geron can do. I'm pretty sure if he continues to play like the last 2 games, it will be his last year with the team.

I thought Geron played okay w Chandler Jones. He is still young and drafted as a project, but I think he is depth chart/spot starter at best

Okay = able to stand in front of a guy and not get beat .5 seconds after the snap.

I hope that Turner changes his game plan from last week. When the offense ran a up-tempo, fast, no huddle offense, Haskins and the offense shined. Why not keep doing it?

The team did worse when they ran the run-heavy, slow offense of Gruden and Callahan. I mean a couple sets they ran the predictable “run, run and pass, punt” offense from last year - with the same results! Our OL is not nearly strong enough to face a defense where the play calling is even vaguely predictable. Keep it fast and move the ball around and Haskins seems to thrive because that’s how they played when he was at Ohio State!

It’s also time to start playing guys to see if they’ve got the juice to be starters next year.
I’d like to see Cam Sims as the #2 Wr. Cam did great on ST against the Cardinals. Now let’s see if he can take the next step up as the starting WR. Maybe after 3 years he’s gotten over his stone hands reputation. Also, let’s get the ball to STEVE Sims as he caught 3 passes the last game. Just take him out if the punt and kickoff receiver. He flunked that audition with a fumble and NO good run backs.

I’d really like to see FA being brought off the street for the OL. After 3 years, Christian is going to be a bust. Give him a few more games to blow it and move on.

If you’re giving certain players an audition for the team, be willing to bring guys off the street the same option.

Fast/no huddle O - agreed as long as you are sustaining drives. Otherwise the D gets gassed.

Re reps, seems to me many teams are treating games 1-3 as a kid of preseason for the back ups, particularly with ST reps. I expect 2 things over the next 2 weeks; guys on the bubble at the end of training camp who aren't showing up in games getting bumped for PS guys that are bringing it, and FA's getting try-outs for those backup positions (or even poor starters?) that there aren't PS guys to step up (or are not good enough yet).

I'm not sure getting more guys reps at WR improves Haskins play, but you never know. Shoring up the OL is more likely to help there.

I'm thinking there's still possibilities for trades in week 3/4 as coaches settle on what they have as starting 22 + ST and everyone else becomes surplus under the right circumstances. Problem for us is our only real trade capital is draft picks and I can't see us getting value for those with a) what's likely to be brought in by trade and b) RR's apparent philosophy to build primarily through the draft. More likely to see cusp players traded out for picks to use next year. i.e. Settle might fetch a decent return and he's all but surplus given we have Payne, Allen and Ionnidas in the rotation.
