Here is my main takeaway from yesterday. We beat a division team, and Dallas lost to a team on our schedule that we play at home. That's a great day and a great way to start the new era of Washington Football.

I might have been the ring leader though. You should know you cant take game threads at face. I said ill eat crow, and honestly im still extremely worried about our offense and our secondary and middle linebackers. The d line which is clearly our strength was up against a completely decimated o line too. Ill up my 3 win season to 5. It's all good, the game thread to me is pure comedy. punch it in 09-14-2020, 11:45 AM The Oline worries me. But I disagree on the secondary: Moreland and Moreau are really good IMO. Fuller should be back soon and we know what he's capable of. Darby looked a bit slow but every body looker bad early in the game. Collins looks like he's back to being him. Only question mark is Apke. The guy is fast but that's about it, bad vision, bad angles... I like our LBs squad. Bostic is a tough mofo, SDH has talent, I still don't get why KPL got the starting job over Holcomb but he wasn't awful either. I think our secondary benefited big time from Wentz getting his dick knocked in the dirt. That was due yes to our front 7 but also due to that o line. They are missing every good olineman they have. Next week will be more of a true measuring stick...., Bostic is tough but we need an upgrade there. They are not quick enough to cover in the passing game. punch it in 09-14-2020, 11:47 AM It's all good, the game thread to me is pure comedy. I love it. I think im so used to calling for heads in there that the past 30 years got the best of me. I enjoy SD alot. He is usually equally as pissed off but his cursing is just awesome. Total comedy in there but good place to vent so you dont kick your dog. Chico23231 09-14-2020, 11:47 AM The Oline worries me. But I disagree on the secondary: Moreland and Moreau are really good IMO. The Oline is definitely a concern...I’d really like Charles to get healthy and join the fray at LT or even LG. I saw some good and some bad with blocking from Moses as well as Thomas. Thomas wiffed on 2 run blocks where their could have big gains. Second level blocking was extremely iffy yesterday... And nobody's arguing the rest of defense doesn't come close to being as good as our DL squad. But I don't think they're bad either. Oh yeah on an outside run early in the game, second quarter IMO, Logan Thomas looked like he was doing corrida and avoiding the DB like he was a bull, embarrassing. The defensive line was actually getting worked a little in the beginning and whatever they did at halftime just worked. LB play wasn't great, so will be excited when Davis is back. I don't think we're "hurting" at DB, but Fuller's return will solidify us into at least being solid. Agreed with everyone else. Offensive line is a borderline detriment to the team right now. Luckily, Turner knew what to do to get the best out of the pressure we got. Cardinals' front seven won't be like the Eagles (obviously still damn good). SunnySide 09-14-2020, 12:37 PM What the hell ... I can only find the Eagles' snap counts for yesterday. Heard on the radio Chase had the most at 78% or so of the snaps, Payne with something like 76%, Sweat really high as well. Allen at something like 52%, Matty I at 42% or something. If anyone finds a link, please post it. |
