Giantone 09-01-2020, 09:15 AM Thanks for updating me on the sign issue at FEDEX. Are they just checking for cursing when they check it? Or any anti-Snyder blather?
Hell, I carried signs with my daughter to the Lincoln (called “the Linc”) Stadium for a Redskins-Eagles game, and thought I might be murdered by drunk fans there. But the funny thing was, the Redskins won and my picture (with the signs) made it into the WaPo. . I also had a Captain Chaos sign and got to meet Chris Coolie’s wife (she was a very nice person but did have a body guard - smart) who was sitting nearby. Kind of a cool day, overall!
So it really irked me when I heard there was no signage in FEDEX. Glad to hear I was wrong about that. Snyder moves up one millimeter from his current status as a bottom-sucking, tin-plated dictator. “Don’t the look at my eyes”. YGBSM!!
Unless the VAST MAJORITY of the allegations in WaPo articles are proved to be rubbish, I just don’t see him ever getting a new stadium. No politician, in either party, will touch him or help him with a 20’ pole. If the legal investigation finds out that much of the charges are true, I just don’t see how the NFL can let it slide. I still think his forced departure will be quietly done, with him making a $ billion or two to assuage his tears at losing his team. But more stories will keep coming out until the NFL does something, at the end of the season.

Do you remember the incident with the Old Lady season ticket holder who lived across the street from FED Ex.Snyder had suttle bring patrons into the stadium from different areas and he got a cut. The Lady lived across the street and would walk up the hill to Fed Ex , Snyder security said she had to take a shuttle and wasn't allowed to walk in , she won her court case.
This was part of it.

SunnySide 09-01-2020, 11:58 AM Signs -- didnt Snyder try to say they were banning them, not because fans signs were making fun of him, but because the edges posed a danger? lol
----------------------------------------------------
The NFL has taken over the investigation launched by the Washington Football Team into the Washington Football Team. Owner Daniel Snyder, in a statement issued to Adam Schefter of ESPN, contends that Snyder suggested the move.
“Recently, the Washington Football Team launched an independent [editor’s note: it wasn’t] third-part investigation about our culture and incidents of harassment,” the statement explains. “In conversations with Commissioner Goodell, Tanya and I suggested that the NFL assume full oversight of the investigation so that the results are thorough, complete and trusted by the fans, the players, our employees and the public. I appreciate Commissioner Goodell agreeing to our suggestion and the entire Washington Football Team remains committed to fully cooperating with all aspects of the investigation.”
While the goal may be to ensure that the results are “trusted by the fans, and the players, our employees and the public,” it will be hard to trust work performed by the lawyer hired by Snyder. Before the investigation can even remotely be regarded as independent, Beth Wilkinson must be replaced with someone hired by the league.

Heard on radio Goddell is fine with Beth Wilkinson remaining on and she will report to him now and not Snyder.
I wonder who picks up the check now? I imagine the other 31 owners arent happy about league money being spent on an off-field issue.
BaltimoreSkins 09-01-2020, 05:06 PM There was a ban a while ago

Warthog 09-02-2020, 02:10 AM The importance of the NFL taking over the Snyder investigation can’t be overstated. A CRITICAL factor is that the “non-disclosure clause” has now been LIFTED from all current and past employees. Snyder used his money and attack lawyers to stifle employees from coming forth with the truth by threatening to sue them. It has taken very brave past and present WFT workers to face down Snyder’s scare tactics using his lawyers and his ability to outspend anyone in the legal system.
Opening the floodgates almost certainly means that more allegations and charges will come against the team. Snyder had to drop the threat to sue (because of his non-disclosure employee clauses), in order to look like he “welcomes this further investigation”. Truthfully, he has been backed further into a corner by the latest and serious charges in the most recent WaPo article . Some of the long-standing Sports writers for the Post have written scathing editorials blasting Snyder and his alleged misdeeds.
Snyder has a tough time defending himself. On the one hand, he has continually micro-managed all aspects of the teams operations from the start, including using acting GM’s and VP’s like Bruce Allen and Vinny Cerrato, as a proxy to do his bidding into player hires, draft picks, etc. Dan copied his hero, Jerry Jones, for the extra-intrusive nature of his personal management. However, I doubt even Jerry makes his employee’s “avert there eyes near him”, address him as “Sir or Mr Snyder”, “don’t eat in his presence”, or “turn around and walk the other way” if they approach HIS EMINENCE. Snyder also likes the paperclips on his desk to be daily placed going only in one direction on his desk. With this type of megalomania it is really tough to imagine that Dan had absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE of the omnipresent sexual harassment, smut movies using unpaid team cheerleaders, misogynistic atmosphere and his highest level managers asking cheerleaders (in his name) to have sex with team friends while on exotic swimsuit photoshoot’s - again with no pay!
Yet, Snyder now claims he knew nothing about ANY OF IT because he was too “hands off” as the owner. Personally, I think Snyder felt so protected by his money, his attack lawyers and his employee’s non-disclosure forms that he thought he could do anything, and get away with it indefinitely. Perhaps he might snake his way out of all these charges, as he has before. BUT, I think it could be JUST AS LIKELY that the owners group will QUIETLY FORCE HIM TO SELL. The bad press is making all the owners to look bad. This is especially difficult for the NFL as they try to get women to watch more football. There are now personal charges against Dan regarding him asking a cheerleader to sleep with a friend. No way to prove this private conversation, but she did tell friends when it occurred. I think the owners will act against Dan after the season is over. Not a moment too soon!!! We may have a mediocre season but it will all be worth it if Dan is removed and we get a new name!

More like a Wordhog...amirite?
I kid I kid. We all have our own idiosyncrasies (definitely had to google how to spell this) here. His is sheer word volume.
JackLord 09-02-2020, 07:26 PM I've said it before and I will say it again: Snyder fascinates me. I grew up watching George Steinbrenner push his team towards dysfunction, but at least he had results at the beginning and the end.
skinsfan69 09-03-2020, 06:32 AM Anyone notice whenever that weasel puts out one of his statements he now mentions his wife? It's 'Tanya and I ' ... he's such a phony SOB - like mentioning his wife makes him look better. I hope somehow he is forced to sell, or he is suspended for a real long time. He needs to be embarrassed and humbled.

I'm not sure there's absolutely no truth to this. Jason Wright since the day he was hired kept mentioning Tanya maybe even more than he did Dan. Talking about his hiring itself he mentioned discussing with Tanya but not with Dan.
Maybe it's partly hypocritical but I do think Tanya is more involved than she was before.
