One other one I wondered about was keeping Inman and Wright and cutting Cam Sims, who I head had a good camp. Don’t know enough about Wright to have a strong view.

Ryan Anderson making the 53 deserves a mention IMO.

I'm happy because I truly think he improved last year, but with the trades talks and the fact it's a crowded squad, I thought he was out. I like that they want to have a loaded front 4/7 and have depth there.

Completely agree. I have a feeling he’s going to show this year; strong dude and highly motivated.

Trey Quinn to Jax supposedly. For those who were frustrated with the Carolina influx here can you imagine the Jax fans seeing Gruden picking up Trey Quinn. Hilarious

Rivera has enough with both Trey Quinn and Cam Sims - both in their third year. They only have FIVE WR on the current 53 roster. I think they have left a space for a WR pickup from someone else’s cast offs. But the latest news is that they are sitting tight with the players they have! Robert Foster from the Bills is a burner who would go nicely with McLaurin.

But it looks like Rivera and Smith are going to see how the current WFT players actually play in the first few games. That’s the impact of no preseason. Rivera is using this season as an evaluation of the players they have anyway. So they’ll see what they have and make replacements of injured or poorly performing players after a set period. That’s why most experts are predicting a 6 or 7 win season. I agree. But I think I’d d rather have a fast guy like Foster, who has a high upside, versus an average WR vet like Inman. We’ll see how the first games go.

I’m more worried about the OL than the WR crew.

Like you I don't expect RR to stand pat with this roster during the season. I think that is particularly likely to be the case for the OL's. Yes, continuity is very important for an OL but that is true only if you have five players who can each perform at an acceptable level as an individual.

Perhaps we have five OT's on the roster because RR is going to continue to try different combinations even during the season. I also expect to see a parade of OL coming in to try out if RR can't get what he wants out of the current players.

Jimmy Johnson in his first season as the Dallas coach was in rebuild mode. He ran an incredible number of players through tryouts and he he actually found some people who could play. Perhaps "leave no stone unturned" should be the motto of the WFT and every rebuilding team.
