Amen to that. How effing hard is it for people not to act this way? Seriously? What the hell is wrong with people?

Agreed.

I would think that an FO job with the Redskins not only pays well, but also carries a certain amount of cache. As such, those guys could probably get all the action they want without becoming abusive jackasses.

Does anyone remember this?

This article was first published May 2, 2018.

When the Washington Redskins took their cheerleading squad to Costa Rica in 2013 for a calendar photo shoot, the first cause for concern among the cheerleaders came when Redskins officials collected their passports upon arrival at the resort, depriving them of their official identification.

For the photo shoot, at the adults-only Occidental Grand Papagayo resort on Culebra Bay, some of the cheerleaders said they were required to be topless, though the photographs used for the calendar would not show nudity. Others wore nothing but body paint. Given the resort’s secluded setting, such revealing poses would not have been a concern for the women — except that the Redskins had invited spectators.

A contingent of sponsors and FedExField suite holders — all men — were granted up-close access to the photo shoots.

One evening, at the end of a 14-hour day that included posing and dance practices, the squad’s director told nine of the 36 cheerleaders that their work was not done. They had a special assignment for the night. Some of the male sponsors had picked them to be personal escorts at a nightclub.

Section 8.13, titled "Disciplinary Power of Commissioner", gives Goodell the authorization to discipline an owner if he or she "has either violated the Constitution and Bylaws of the League or has been or is guilty of conduct detrimental to the welfare of the League or professional football."

If the commissioner doesn't believe the $500,000 fine is "adequate or sufficient," he can choose to "refer the matter to the Executive Committee" to invoke additional punishments, such as:

"Cancellation or forfeiture of the franchise in the League of any member club involved or implicated. If such occurs, the affected franchise shall be sold and disposed of under the provisions of Section 3.8(B) hereof."

Dan and Tanya apologize ... to the organization. Which they should but if they haven’t figured out how to build a work culture in 20 years they probably won’t now

Snyder needs to own this, the culture is what he has enabled for 20 years. I hope that advertisers stay away as long as he's owner. The franchise is definitely more valuable if he isn't part of it. It is cowardly to hide behind Coach Rivera and Mrs. Snyder. If he really cared, he would have done something after the 2018 cheerleading scandal. He's only responding because he knows that the NFL could force him out. That much is FINALLY real to him.

The behavior of Alex Santos and Larry Michael...how in the fuck did these guys remain in executive roles? Dan seemed like he didn’t give a shit...he definitely knew of the behavior.

==== I Do Not Condone Sexual Harassment ========

The NFL is not going to kick him out. Bob Kraft got caught visiting rub and tugs. The Dallas Mavericks had the same thing reported. It would be different if there was a sexual assault report. Like it or not, this was not a bombshell. This was barely more than a firecracker. This activity is common in America. It is especially common in male-driven industries. 60% of women say they experience "unwanted sexual attention, sexual coercion, sexually crude conduct, or sexist comments" in the workplace. I do not know if Snyder knew. Mark Cuban did not know. 90% of employees who experience harassment never file a formal complaint; 75% never complain to their employers either.

The cheerleading scandal was way worse. They were basically pimping them out. He is the current punching bag and everybody's favorite whipping boy, but in 2 months, this will all be forgotten.
