Come up with a new name for the Redskins

Same here. I already enjoy kicking back on Sundays and watching redzone all day. Wouldn't really hurt me to not have a team.

The easy choice for me would be the Saints or Bills since I've lived in both markets and both are not rivals of WSH but I just can't picture myself in another teams colors.. Its weird

Wright said there will be connectivity with the past. Certainly keeping the colors is part of it. Honestly Washington Wolves just seems so obvious, despite the resistance among some here. One article made a point about how Redwolves were native to the MidAtlantic for a long time, and how choosing Redwolves could tie to a ton of humanitarian causes. I don't see that part as a major rationale, but Washington Wolves with a tie in to the ferocity and pack nature would lead to a rebuild around the defense which will be the strength of the team for the next few years.

I will be shocked if it isn't some form of wolves.

There's a loud local group of Skins' fans here in Louisville. I haven't attended a game watch with them for a while, but I doubt that much has changed with the loyalties of those in the group.

If you're gonna stick with them through the crap they've been the last couple of decades, why change now, when we're on the verge of truly being formidable?

I'd submit, it's easier to stick with your team in the age of fantasy football. While they may suck, you can get your winning-fix through your FF team.

As a city without a team, but surrounded by NFL markets, you can pretty much find local bars hosting a variety of NFL team fan bases here in Louisville.

The Bengals is probably the "local" team most rooted for, although the Colts have tried to claim Louisville as part of their territory. The Titans are about the same distance away to the south, but don't have much traction here.

For the odd fan bases, we have a size able Green Bay Packers fan base here (Paul Hornung's influence started that), as well as Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, and Minnesota Vikings (no idea why). And probably like a lot of cities, we have a very annoying Steelers contingent here ... and of course, those bastard Cowboys.

They can keep the W and add a Wolf head to it and yeah kinda corny but it would grow on us.

Does anyone think there is a chance of the "Washington Senators"?

Maybe it's the obviousness that tells me it won't be the name. Or maybe I'm just tired of the people that hit you over the head with it all the time online like on Twitter. Either way I'm fine with it as long as it's well executed. Honestly some of the fan made logos are super cringe and look like some XFL shit.

No. When that name was floated for the baseball team that became the Nationals the city officials were very against it. They said since Washington DC has no voting representation in Congress they have no Senators and that shouldn't be the name. I doubt their stance has changed.

I doubt they would go political, I think the "Veterans" or "Vets" is possible

That's why I really want them to keep some form of WFT, WFC, CCFC. I just feel like whatever they pick will feel like XFL or Major League Lacrosse shit and the WFT type name avoids that.
