There is no consensus but multiple NAtive Americans polling with overwhelming strong majority that say the name isn’t offensive. I don’t care what white people think because they are so emotionally unhinged and unresponsive to hard data and facts...fuck them
Referring to this ...it’s just getting very toxic ..I get on here because I love the team .. nobody knows anything about anybody else except we all love the team .. it just seems like certain guys can get on here and tell people to shut the fuck up .. and then say fuck white people.. I say WTF is up with all that nonsense ? Does anybody moderate at all and can you just say anything ? Maybe I’m to damn old to deal with this nonsense ..

Hard to read into blurbs on a chat sight too much. Can never really gauge someones level of sincerity. Anyway there are just bigger issues than football right now. Hopefully in the not too distant future my biggest worry will be what to drink when the game starts. Lol.

I got a serious question .. to the Chico man or whatever he goes by ..how can a person have 25,000 post on this forum and only now realize that the name Redskins is rascist and offensive? And if it took you this long and 25,000 post to figure it out you may want to take a deep look into yourself .. I HAVE NEVER thought it was a bad name and apparently MILLIONS of people have no issue ..it’s all part of the let’s tear down the damn Country movement .. everything is offensive but it’s okay to tell white people to go fuck off .. that is the most rascist post ever made on this site ! Yeah the thing is, the small amount of Native tribes that are upset is the issue. The PR is just too negative and honestly not worth the bs anymore because we all know it's never going away. So just change the name and move on, honestly it may bring us some better mojo anyway

Well I understand there are not millions of Native Americans who are marching, but as others have noted the surveys are severely flawed and again this is about racism in general. Not just NA’s. When Malcolm Jenkins went off on Brees I was like good for him, but where is he now about Desean? You cannot pick and choose parts of racism to get up in arms about. It is all or nothing. And I completely agree about the mojo. We have seen so much crazy bad luck over the last 25 years that I think every one of us at some point in a game thread has said change the name we r cursed. Lol

Been defending the name my entire life Okie. Using the same reasoning...they are called Redskins on their teams, the logo is proud. The song is proud. Etc etc. I look at it completely different now. No matter how small a part of the problem it is part of the problem. If changing it becomes a small part of the solution im all for it.
Comes down to issue fatigue for me more than anything. I'm just done with it. The drama isn't going away so just change it and be done with it once and for all. I just want to watch football. Shit about uniforms and names and fight songs are trivial in the big picture.
