all joking aside ... trumps twitter thoughts today are indescribable. it is just lies or lashing out.

how the fuck did we end up with this guy?

He seems to have an opinion on everything, even in areas where his expertise is a zero on a scale of 1-10. I did think John Kerry's comment about Massie was funny. The part that baffled me about Trump was in the primaries, once Marco Rubio short circuited during the debates Trump became made of Teflon. I would always check the polls and off shore bookmaker odds after every Trump gaffe. It seems after the death of Rubio no matter what stupid crap he did his numbers would stay steady.

Does she ever do anything besides point fingers and complain?

I get that he thinks the media is biased against him and I tend to agree with him. So I see why he uses Twitter to an extent, but he should be posting measured responses and information not just throwing everything and its mother against the wall and seeing what sticks. And no one knows about everything. Part of being intelligent and being a good leader is to know your strengths and weaknesses and relying on your support team to handle things that aren't in your expertise. So basically its perfectly reasonable to just STFU sometimes.

I don't think that is in Trump's playbook.

Some of the crap Trump spews on subjects where he has no knowledge boggles the mind. A good one was the disqualification of Maximum Security the horse that crossed the wire first in the 2019 Kentucky Derby. It was the first time they have taken down the winner of the Derby and it was a no brainer. He blamed it on political correctness, he probably doesn't know which end of a horse eats and which end craps.

Continuing on where he has no knowledge I think auto makers cooperating to help make respirators is nothing but a ploy to game the government for money, like when GM took a bailout and still filed bankruptcy during the last recession, screwing over all their suppliers.

Working in the manufacturing sector for 40 years, while admitting I have never seen a schematic or assembly drawing of a respirator, it is pretty obvious looking at pictures an automaker is about as well equipped to make one as your neighborhood McDonalds. Looks like the main components outside of electronics are molded plastic, rubber and tubing. All of those items automakers like GM buy from their vendors, they do not make them. Most of the electronics on GM vehicles is also purchased from 3rd party vendors.

GM pretty much makes all the solid metal parts like engines, transmissions, body parts and suspension. WTF a car frame and a respirator have in common is beyond me. I can see it now GM will be willing to make respirators for a $50 billion bailout and being able to charge time and materials to make them, as in given a blank check from the government.

I understand the need for this thread, but this thing has gotten so "real" it shouldn't be a political ballgame. I hope this thread is forever unused. (at least until we are on the right side of the virus curve)

still my feelings on this thread
