mooby 07-16-2020, 09:42 AM That's old news and isn't even shocking in the mainstream media, especially ESPN.
Whatever it is, that might explain how a coach as incompetent as Jay Gruden kept his job for 5+ years. He may have been involved, or an integral part of something going on, or knew something on someone.
Everybody knew about it when it happened but it still got swept under the rug.
I enjoy how you single out Gruden in this post, like it's not going to involve Allen, Snyder, Schaeffer, Hess, Larry Michael, Santos, his assistant, McCloughan, and everybody else in the FO for the last 10 years. Everybody knew about it. Even the other media knew about it.

I didn't single out Jay. As you said everyone knows the FO had slimeballs, none bigger than Bruce Allen. I just said it might explain how he stayed around so long. He should have been fired years earlier based on his job performance...which is USUALLY the Redskins way going all the way back to Marty Schottenheimer who should've stuck around longer.
mooby 07-16-2020, 09:45 AM I also urge everyone not to get caught up in this media teasing...if they had a huge story, why not just come out with it instead of holding it for days and days? Usually, media companies race to release something first...so perhaps this is all just BS to get clicks for a week as they tease a story that's not even a story. Josh Norman is always angry at someone too.
Reminds me of the Russian hoax reporting.
Bro, every legit beat reporter for the Redskins is saying this is bad. This isn't the WaPo dangling a carrot, it sounds like a definitive report on the toxic culture at Redskins Park. If they're going to drop something that big, guarantee they are taking their time to get everything squared away first. It would destroy their credibility even more if they released it and then other sources came out and said they were lying.
skinsfaninok 07-16-2020, 09:48 AM TBH I'm not surprised with anything this organization does anymore, until Dan is gone they will continue to be a joke. He sets the culture

Their credibility is already destroyed. :D
But yeah, I won't be shocked by anything involving Snyder and the FO.
Hopefully it doesn't deal a fatal blow to our franchise while it's already down.

Truth will do that to ya these days.....
As far as a fatal blow this isn’t college where they can shut your shit down so what would the fatal blow even be? Snyder sells ? Can you say parade?

You're assuming someone wants to buy it.
So let's say the league forces Snyder to sell like the Clippers owner who did FAR less.
Do we think it's possible for the minority owners, if not involved in the scandal (they likely are though), could just buy Snyder's share?
While I do want new ownership, I very nervous about Bezos taking over. He's built Amazon into a giant, but also has had questionable business practices himself at time...and might know less about football then Daniel Snyder. Snyder with all of his horrible decision making, at least was a fan of the Redskins going in.
skinsfan69 07-16-2020, 10:05 AM I wonder if this story is so embarrassing that the other NFL owners force Snyder out.
Monkeydad 07-16-2020, 10:09 AM Larry Michael's retirement not even being acknowledged by the team is fishy, so it's likely he's involved in it. He was always Snyder's YES man on everything, perhaps for a reason other than blind optimism.
Either Snyder hates him, or Larry knows things, perhaps that HE did himself.
