You didn't hear Matty? We're already a stable franchise and a model culture that can handle an unstable personality like AB. Without even playing a game yet I might add.

Yes, SFOK, I'm shitting on your idea that we can handle AB. The Patriots couldn't handle AB.

This.
Belichick could afford to take a shot on a personality like AB's, but even he couldn't get him in line after having built a solid culture.
Bringing AB while trying to build a solid culture would be taking a shot of heroin when you're trying to quit smoking.

Nobody can fix AB but himself with medication and counseling. The guy is nuts. No way I'd want this guy in a locker room that's going through a much needed culture change. No way.

I’ve said it for awhile now. AB has never been the same since that vicious hit by Burfict.

Not really surprised. Feel like they do need to do something though the current on side kick format doesn't really provide an incentive to the trailing team.

Cracks me up that Rooney thinks it's too gimmicky. Like pooching the ball 10 yards and trying to jump on it before your opponent isn't.

Shame, I thought it would have been a fun new rule.

love the 4th and 15. onside kick is dead. but 4th and 15 would make it way more fun and exciting.

I hate it. unless you have evenly matched teams it's pointless. for example no one will try it against the number 1 defense except the number 1 offense maybe. It takes away ALL the uniqueness and chance that the onside kick brought.

No i don't have a better idea -- just hate that one

Like to see the percentages to compare. But thinking if you Have a good receiver, throwing it up to him just to get a flag might be the better play.

Just bring back the old rules for onside kicks, because right now the play is practically dead

Yeah, and I don't think it's that difficult:

If you want to do a surprise onside kick you can do it respecting the new kickoff rules (balances formation not running start etc...), and if you want to say "we're going onside kick" (ie. when the situation is obvious) you're allowed to do it the old way because it's not a dangerous play.

Because I understand the need to fix it but I absolutely 100% hate the 4th and 15 rule, leave that video game sh*t for the XFL or whatever new spring league will want to have a try at it.
