Peter King just said that someone in the Redskins organization told him at the Senior Bowl: “Three First Round Picks could change our team THIS season”. Let’s just say that Miami offered the Redskins their:
#5
#18
#26
picks to guarantee ability to get Tua at the #2 spot. What would you do? If you took the “Reverse of the RG3 pick”, who would you put in those draft spots?
Three first rounders gets you three starters in spots of absolute need. They may not just be starters but the may be very good or even excellent starters. You get excellent to outstanding starters on the cheap. What say you : an outstanding superstar for a decade or three excellent to outstanding starters that turn your team around this season.
I’m sure this statement to King was done ON PURPOSE, to float this idea in the NFL and see what the Redskins can actually get for a trade. If the King’s Ransom is high enough, they might do it.

#5 - Isaiaha Simmons -LB
#18 Jerry Jeudy -WR
#26 - best OT available
If you get Jeudy (he may be gone by then) now you have one of the best WR crews in the NFL and they are young and cheap!
Simmons may be used at LB and he’s considered an outstanding draft pick.
Get an OT to replace Moses or Trent Williams if you can’t get him back.

The Skins would be fools to pass up an off like that. Why Miami would give up three first rounders on what is IMO a risky pick in Tua is another story.

Yeah, this is all theoretical. Miami only does a RG3-like trade IF, the Redskins generate other teams to start offering big packages to get to the magic #2 spot. Miami has the best trade package and would only offer it if they think ANOTHER team might move ahead of them. That’s why the Redskins dropped this comment to King - to get teams putting trade packages for #2!

The package you presented is about what it would take for me to really consider trading out of Chase Young.
Im torn but I think I would still take Chase Young. Either way though, im happy.

Nobody will offer three first round picks in this years draft for #2.
Not going to happen.

The only way that happens is if Burrow doesn't go #1 and he will so I agree with u.. Chase Young will be a Redskin, it's boring for draft content but it is what it is

To clarify - King does not say that someone with the redskins to him this. He said "I have someone at the Senior Bowl who told me." And the way the quote is phrased, Washington is being spoken of in the 3rd person, which means it's likely someone with another team.

CeeDee Lamb or Higgins would also be a great addition and there is no way u turn that offer down, it's just not happening tho. Miami needs a ton more than Tua

You underestimate how crazy teams are going to go for Tua. You forget that last year, before getting hurt, he was viewed as the clear overall #1 prospect. Miami would absolutely offer their 3 first this year and I think the Skins would probably ask for even more. There is going to be a bidding war for our pick, and, even if the front office is absolutely in love with Young, they should consider all options.
