Moving back to 9 is a long way, would need lots of picks

So Ross Tucker said he has heard of a team in the top 10 that is very serious about moving up to #2 in need of a QB, That isn't Miami. Said they have 2 first round picks to offer, so clearly he's talking about the Jags.

Would you take 9 , 20 and their 3rd round pick for #2?

I think I would

5,18, and 39 from Miami is much better and is the baseline for what the Redskins should accept, IMO. I think JAX would have to up the ante to get the #2 pick. Perhaps 9,20, 42, and a player that fits a Redskins need like a Dede Westbrook would work.

If teams want to trade up, I think the Redskins have to set a high threshold for what it would take, otherwise we should draft the generational talent in Chase Young at #2.

Moving all the way down to 9? Pass! We need to come out of the 1st with Chase or Okudah.

We have 6 other picks, FAs, and UDFAs to fill other holes. Get the elite guy with the 1st pick.

For months, i've been an advocate of trading down. This was under the assumption that "Tua Mania" would take over as he cleared physicals and wow'ed NFL teams at his pro-day and in private interviews and teams would be in a bidding war for the #2 overall pick to secure his services. This was under the belief that the floor of any such trade would be three first round picks.

That is no longer a realistic possibility. No team is going to trade up to #2 for Tua at this point. Miami might not even be comfortable taking him at 5. We might get offers to trade up to 2 by a team that wants Chase Young, as he's just about the more sure-fire thing in this draft, but teams won't give up enough for a non-QB to make it worth our while to pass on him.

Due to corona virus, our path has become crystal clear. We're going to take the best player - the safest player - in the draft and select Young. End of Story.

I'm not sure teams wouldn't move up for Tua, there is no reason why they wouldn't, especially a team like the Jags who are desperate for a FACE of their franchise. It's possible , not saying I disagree with u.

If we take Chase I'm all in for it

We are in agreement that if the best offers, if any, we get don't meet a certain threshold ( for you it's 5, 18, and 26; for me it's 5,18, and 39) then we hold what we've got and draft Chase Young. Whether or not a team is willing to pay the price has always been the question. That hasn't changed.

I hope no one does. Make the draft as simple as possible.

Getting the best player in the draft works 60% of the time every time!

No matter what we do the media will always laugh at us what have we done for the last 20 years we are an easy target. I'm OK with what the media says JMO most of them don't know sh%t anyways and change sides faster than a hooker turning tricks. Take CY unless they give you so many picks you feel embarrassed.

Its all about the medical. What team is going to trade UP for a player who just had a major hip surgery? Teams are not going to want to give up multiple picks to acquire a player who recently had that kind of injury unless their own doctors can examine the player first.
