Highest AAV for a TE is Graham at $10 million. Kelce is second at $9.368. I do think that those numbers are going to be trending up quickly, but $11 or 12 million seems high to me for a Hooper. We really do need a TE, though, so who knows?

Hooper / Henry will be at the top price for TE but we’ve got ZERO there now. Either of these TE FA will REALLY help Haskins.

I think the Redskins will go for it with Hooper or Henry at $11-12 mill. They will ALSO draft with their #66 for a TE, or a WR depending on who’s been drafted.

I really think they will try to get a TE rookie starter from the draft, as well as a WR#2 rookie starter to compete with Harmon. Kyle Smith will make multiple draft/UDFA picks for each of these positions.

I don’t know if the team will hire a WR#2 from FA. They will probably run out of money. I think they will try to get STARTERS at TE and WR#2 from the draft and UDFA.

We’ll have rookie starters - Chase Young -Edge
TE #2 - draft
WR #2 - Harmon vs draft picks

There are three very good Ohio State receivers who will probably go after the 3rd round. Since they are from OSU's program, they are, like McLauren, well trained and disciplined route runners: KJ Hill, Austin Mack and Binjamin Victor. I am sure we could get one of them in the 4th round. KJ Hill in particular was a favorite of Haskins in 2018. And Haskins made several big throws to Binjamin.

I agree with the team’s interest in Hill. He had better numbers than MacLaurin at Ohio State. Haskins is talking him up. I think it’s possible the Redskins could draft him.

I think the Redskins will draft a TE at their third rounder at #66.

I believe they hope Hill will float under the radar in the NFL and then they can draft him in the fourth round. They listed a bunch of TE and WR the team was interested in at the combine. Then nothing after that. You don’t want another team drafting your guy because you’re good a finding diamonds low in the draft.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Redskins drafted Hill.

I’m all in on Hooper

We desperately need a TE and he’s young and has been very productive

I don’t see why anyone would hesitate on him

Haskins would really benefit by having a quality TE

We are going to face some steep competition. I heard on Sirius XM NFL radio yesterday that the Packers and Bears are both very interested in Hooper.

We need a TE definitely but our interest in Hooper might be to raise the price on him.

Why? If we weren't interested in Hooper it would be counterproductive to bid his price up and raise the tight end salary levels. No, I think if we are bidding on Hooper it would be because we want him.

Now, the rumor that we have interest in Cooper could well be to raise his price and force Dallas to spend more. But not Hooper.

There will be lots of teams in on him , but neither of these two has much in the way of cap space

There is no way to know what position any team will draft for in any given round. I'm pretty sure that they make up a draft board regardless of position need.

I doubt that Hill is going to fly under anybody's radar. He can play and everybody knows it BUT there are a lot of good receivers in this draft and some very good WR that we like (even Hill) may well last into the middle rounds.

Couldn't Dallas use the Franchise Tag on him if they need to do so? I think they would because their passing offense was much better last season when he was in the game.

Only if they resign Dak first, which doesn't look like it is going to happen, only have 1 franchise tag
