Hurst sounds like a big risk.

Can you please elaborate what you meant by that?

Hurst is pretty well rounded and he is fast. I would take him if available.

Suicide, drinking himself to death ... guy has faced some demons but I dont think any of that is in play now or has been for a while. havent heard anything off field negative about him.

Its in the article and theres more in depth articles out there, commending him for speaking out when it could be viewed as a red flag for his NFL career

maybe a clue to why he has underperformed and in danger of being cut. I mean, its a red flag for being traded and or cut as a first round pick b4 first contract is up.

I liked Hayden Hurst coming out of college but reports are the Pats are talking w the Ravens. Mock has us taking TE Thaddeus Moss (LSU) 66th overall (3R)

2 years of control for a 27 year old TE Hurst

or

4 years of control, 22 year old (when season starts) TE Moss

https://www.draftsite.com/nfl/washington/43/

I dont think id give up the 66th overall pick for Hurst.
Mock draft is …. interesting , they mock for three years . They have the Browns taking 3 QB's next year , them using there 1st rd pick the following yr on a QB . As far as us , I just hope after CY we hit on our picks like last year .

I did read the article, I just did not want to assume what Irrefutable meant even though it might be obvious since he posted the article...

I think it's short sighted for anyone to assume that a team would be taking on a big risk if they trade for Hurst simply because of his mental health issues. If the mental health issues persist throughout Hurst's career and he did not do anything about it then I definitely can understand this but it is not the case with Hurst. In fact, Hurst had been very open about his mental health issues lately. This tells me that Hurst is aware of his personal issues and where he stands.

Chico - I think it's more of the salary situation than Hurst's issues.

I think with our TE situation taking risks really isn’t a luxury we have but if we bring him in as a no2 TE for a 5th round pick, I wouldn’t be opposed. 2 more years on his deal to prove he can play.

I wouldn't want Redskins to give up a high draft pick for Hurst neither, and we should not expect Hurst to resolve our TE issue if we trade for him. I prefer for Redskins to sign Henry although it doesn't seem likely now that the Chargers GM mentioned that they are thinking about using franchise tag to keep Henry.

What wrong with Hooper besides his $11 mill/yr price tag? He’s NOT being franchised. I just wonder how many teams are going to be going after him?
