You can agree on our rookies on these list, I would add Sims, Harmon and Martin. Haskins gets honorable for his last 3 games.

Rookie class numbers
Cole Holcomb second in total tackle by a rookie this year, just 4 tackles behind the LB Bush in Pittsburgh. He forced 3 fumbles...not bad.
Rookie Sack leaders, Sweat ended up with 7 sacks...5th in the league ( not a bad rookie class) half sack behind Brian Burns. Had a couple forced fumbles as well.
Scary Terry...second in recs, 1 behind the leader with 59. Second in yards 919. Lead rookies most first down catches.
Rookies, pretty fuckin good. Wes Martin and Haskins had their moments as well.

McClaurin was second in receptions even with our anemic offense most of the season and missing games, that is crazy.

Anderson would be an awesome strong side lb in a 4-3. I'm the mold of Spikes for NE from a few years ago.
He is really strong and really smart. He's a natural fit.

I agree. Anderson is the perfect 4-3 Strong side LB.
I also really like Cole Holcomb. I feel like Cole Holcomb might be ready to raise his game. He has great LB instincts, if he can add another 10 to 15 pounds of muscle without sacrificing speed he will be an excellent sideline to sideline and coverage MLB. Plus playing MLB behind our D-Line will be a privilege for anyone who plays LB for us next season.
I would also like to clarify, I mentioned in a post a few days ago while talking about the options for freeing up cap money about Ryan Kerrigan. To be clear I really like Ryan and I do not want to lose him. Hopefully he will renegotiate a more cap friendly deal. Ryan will be a great DE in the 4-3. A DE rotation of Young, Kerrigan and Sweat would be strong and give time for Sweat to grow and develop. I am not sure Sweat is ready to be a fulltime 4-3 DE just yet.

Gridiron, all 3 of these guys have been in my peripheral in early free agency looks.
A little gripe with Gus Edwards...I don’t know how valuable he can be in the passing game. Maybe system related, but he is a great runner, lotta broken tackles. Imo, RB these days have to catch the ball...it opens up the offense when they do and provides another option for your QB.
Eric Ebron is good...great size and blocks well in the run game. The reason he excelled in Indy vs Detroit in passing offense was simply the Colts and frank reich feature their TEs in that scheme. Ebron would be a solid choice imo and he is hitting his prime.
If we truly go press man coverage with our corners (which Dunbar can) we need someone else too on the other which Norman couldn’t be he lost a step and was a better zone scheme...enter Byron Jones who has proven to do it in Dallas. I want to see he’s contract demand, but I like him a lot in that defense.
Good point on Edwards's inability to catch balls (so far). I'm thinking that we need to find a reliable RB who can run through people. We have Guice and Love who can catch and run. I don't know if we will bring Thompson back, but if so then that would be 3 RBs who can catch the ball. With that on mind along with all three RBs' injury history, I want Redskins to have a reliable RB. I also like Jordan Howard if Edwards signs somewhere else.
Your argument for Ebron is valid and I have read same argument somewhere else when I read about Ebron signing with Colts. Although I found this to be odd when we factor in the fact that Lions used their 1st round pick to draft Ebron, why would they do that if they knew they don't utilize TE much. But Ebron has shown that he can play and the only logical explanation I could think of is your point, Lions simply didn't utilize him well.

I read somewhere that Devin Funchess might bulk up and play his original TE position next year. I wonder whether RR would try to bring him to the Redskins. Strong possession receiver with good size and speed. Add some bulk and he could do well in that role I would think.

I'm not sure about the transition to TE part but I wouldn't oppose to giving Funchess a prove-it one year deal. We need a big receiver and he could fill in that spot.

TE - I want the Kerry Kittles/Ertz/Gronk mold.
A guy who can equally block, run routes and catch. Weve seen that when you have just a catching TE or just a blocking TE, we are tipping our hand to the D based on our personnel package.
A good pass catching TE is nice but it limits us. I dont want to pay good money for a purely catching TE.

With the availability of Martin and the apparent decline of Moses would any of you guys consider kicking Scherrf out to RT and starting Martin at RG?

Dang dude, that is a decent bit of original thinking. Havent heard that option floated out there before but its certainly deserving to be the top 10 of what to do with the O line options. I always liked the idea of upgrading C so Roullier could be the next man up swing IOL bc I think you need 4 starting caliber IOL with the amount of injuries to that unit (if you think you have a competitive team). But Roullier has proven me wrong and seems to be a top 15 C now so I wouldnt want to rock that boat unneccessarily.
Moses - Hes still under a decent enough contract, seemed to be the vocal leader for the O line wout Trent and can bounce back. He did cut down on his penalties. I want to give Moses one more year.
Martin - unproven to me. I wouldnt go into TC with him penciled in as starter. Now if he wins the job then great but he would be plan B for me heading into TC. And he could very well win the job against any of our IOL guys not named Scherff.

#1 they have to sign Scherrf
#2 they tried him at tackle and it was a failure
