rocnrik 12-31-2019, 11:08 AM Great news!!! EdmundDorf 12-31-2019, 11:17 AM Look like Wilks is not coming, not that I am devastated by that John Keim Verified account @john_keim Follow Follow @john_keim More Source close to Steve Wilks said at this time he does not expect him to join Ron Rivera in Washington as the DC. Had coached with him in Carolina. 6:41 am - 31 Dec 2019 John Keim Verified account @john_keim 6m6 minutes ago More I don’t even know that I should use a qualifier. Asked again. Told simply “he’s not coming”. SFREDSKIN 12-31-2019, 11:20 AM So Ron’s wife was a former coaching assistant for the Mystics, maybe having spent time in Washington helped convince her husband? Just saying. skinsfan69 12-31-2019, 11:22 AM So much for the hands off approach. Per Grant Paulson: Dan Snyder is running the house-cleaning show solo today. He is handling exit conversations with departing staffers like Larry Hess in his office at the park. Used to be other people to do that but with Allen out and other changes in the works it's his show today. Good for Dan. It's a step in the right direction. But he still has a long way to go in winning anyones trust back. Let's remember he hired a two time winning SB coach and totally undermined him. I still don't trust him, only time will tell if he's truly going to do things the right way. SFREDSKIN 12-31-2019, 11:32 AM Matt Cavanaugh might be safe, he’s worked with Ron in the past: https://theriotreport.com/listed-without-commentary-a-full-list-of-coaches-ron-rivera-has-previously-worked-with/ HTTR 12-31-2019, 11:37 AM Good for Dan. To think otherwise is to endorse “winning off the field.” That said, Schneed’s excellent posts here and in the TW thread have convinced me that there are unprecedented and positive steps the organization (DS) can and should take now to show accountability for past mistakes. Still not “winning,” but “professional” would be apt and a good sign. SkinzWin 12-31-2019, 11:40 AM Good for Dan. It's a step in the right direction. Nice to see an actual good reason for him to be hands on for once... because no one is left! skinsfaninok 12-31-2019, 11:42 AM Source close to Steve Wilks said at this time he does not expect him to join Ron Rivera in Washington as the DC. Keim Per ESPN - Jack Del Rio is the front runner for the job SFREDSKIN 12-31-2019, 11:43 AM Leslie Frazier could be a name to watch for DC. mooby 12-31-2019, 11:45 AM Leslie Frazier could be a name to watch for DC. I would endorse this hiring as d-coordinator. He never lived up to his billing as a HC but those Minny d's he ran were very good back in the day. Not sure how to feel about Jack Del Rio as d-coordinator, I don't know enough about him beyond his mediocre HC history. I am happy we're not getting Wilks though, his history is underwhelming. |
