That's cool and all but the NFL has a fuckton of CBA rules about how many padded practices you can have in a year and such.

Hope the Redskins stay on the good side of that equation for this.

Hard to change the culture and habits of a team mid season. Plus players know the chances of Callahan being here next year are slim to none.

Limit of 14 padded practices during the regular season, 11 of which must be held during the first 11 weeks (club may hold two padded practices during only one week) with remaining three during the final six weeks.

Sounds like the Skins didnt use their 2 padded practices in 1 week or their 11 padded practices by week 11 and did so during the bye. Im guessing lots of teams probably save the 2 padded practices in 1 week for the bye week.

I read something interesting. During mini camp or pre season, if a padded practice has to be cancelled within first 60 minutes bc of weather or something out of teams control, it doesnt count.

I imagine Belichick checks weather reports and then intentionally runs a padded practice right before a rain storm so he can cancel at the 59th minute and not have it count.
