There is absolutely no doubt that he has an NFL arm. Beyond that, his footwork was better for the most part, although it failed him at some key times in the game. His progressions in his reads is much improved. He went to secondary receivers more than ever. He needs to speed up his reads but that is coming. To me, the speed of the NFL game is giving him the most trouble right now but he is adjusting to it. His accuracy is improving. In fact he made some outstanding throws in this game, some of which were caught and some of which were dropped. He's starting to recognize what the defense is trying to do and reacting to it. I love the way he plays the game! He competes at a high level and he really enjoys playing football. I think he's becoming a real leader. Yes, that's right, I am on the Haskins Bandwagon. skinsfaninok 12-16-2019, 10:54 AM He looked very promising to me on Sunday. There is absolutely no doubt that he has an NFL arm. He kinda has that Cam Newton esque style of play in that he is always smiling and he can actually move very well for as big as he is.. He faked the hell out of Graham on that option play, and he also gets out of the pocket better than people said. I'm a fan of his toughness as well skinsfan69 12-16-2019, 10:56 AM He looked very promising to me on Sunday. There is absolutely no doubt that he has an NFL arm. He needs to have another good game next week. If he plays bad next week the narrative will be dramatically change. He needs to have another good game next week. MY narrative won't change next week! I think he is a very solid prospect who simply needs hard work, experience and time to develop. SunnySide 12-16-2019, 11:57 AM He showed he can make 3 step drop quick throws .. when his first read is open and the read is in front of him. He throws off his back foot. Is that just who he is? He throws off his back foot when theres no pressure. Like its just his natural throwing mechanics. Hes calm in the pocket, keeps his eyes down field well for a rookie. He fit some balls into some tight spaces that when it works, great throw .. if it doesnt, hes forcing it. Yesterday, it worked for him. ------------------ Its good to see him "see it, throw it" this game but Id like to see him take the next step and throw guys open and throw to a space where the WR hasnt broke yet. punch it in 12-16-2019, 12:34 PM Very true. However, his QBR has been doubling almost every game. There’s a very clear trajectory that also seems in tune with reality. Every game he plays seems to be better than the one before. Until yesterday that trajectory was so slow based on the eye test it was almost stagnant. Maybe even went backwards at times. Hopefully we see more of yesterday these last couple weeks and I can exhale going into the offseason knowing quarterback is not a need. skinsfaninok 12-16-2019, 03:05 PM Dwayne Haskins from a clean pocket yesterday: - 77.5 overall grade - 82.4% adjusted completion percentage - 144.7 passer rating Warthog 12-16-2019, 11:14 PM He’s had steady improvement and his best game against a decent team. He’s only been in 6 games and he posts a 121 QB rating. He will have hiccups as a rookie, but I’m encouraged. I seriously doubt the Redskins will use a high draft pick for QB. They may go for a project QB. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
