Lombardi with the good analogy, says firing Jay is like throwing a deck chair off the Titanic.

Here's the direct link to anyone who wanna take a listen: https://www.radio.com/media/audio-channel/michael-lombardi-grant-and-danny-0

From Day one of this year, it looked to me like Jay had already checked out. I could see him being really pissed at DS for over-ruling him about Haskins being picked for the team. Especially because Jay is a GB guy. It kind of adds insult to injury. After he got fired he was probably dancing for joy. Now he has this huge dysfunctional monkey off his back. And he still has millions of dollars. That's a win, win.

Nobody talking about this yet?

"I have mixed emotions about it," Gruden said. "At the end of the day, if you're not the GM, you have to accept the fact that you don't get everything you want. You accept the players given to you. I had input in some areas, but there are some major issues there. It's that way with most coaches. You don't have that total say. It's something you have to overcome and work with the guys you have."

Wtf do we gotta do to get Danny to see the light?

I also agree with Gruden on Haskins.

On Friday, Gruden told ESPN, "If you haven't done it, there's a lot on your plate. Until he gets really comfortable, it's for his own good. If I didn't like him, I'd put him out there right now. I do like him. I think the world of him. He's going to be a great quarterback one day. Time is really important for him."

People really think it's gonna suddenly click for Haskins while he's staring down defensive formations on the field? I really don't understand the hostility towards having qb's who aren't pro-ready sit out their first season to get acclimated. Did it hurt Aaron Rodgers? Tom Brady? Patrick Mahomes? Phillip Rivers?

Did it help Dak Prescott to start since game 1 as a rookie? More than it helped surrounding him with a stud offensive line, a top-5 running back and multiple weapons at WR/TE?

Everybody is different. If multiple coaches say Haskins isn't ready, I'm inclined to agree. If they felt like he could run enough plays to win games I am positive he would be in there taking his lumps.

Starting Haskins with an OL in disarray (injuries and no TW) would be a bad decision and can ruin a young QB’s confidence. Team is going nowhere, so lets be patient.
