I've always wondered how much stroke everybody in the organization has on roster decisions.
Bruce keeps everything murky on purpose.

Glad the Gruden favs Perine and Doctson we’re finally dumped. I now think that Gruden was talking up Doctson in the pre-season to try to get him traded.
The thing I can’t figure out was why the team let Garçon, Jackson and Crowder go -all 1,000 yd WR leave and keep a loser like Doctson. Is The team so short-sighted?

Desean Jackson and garçon left two years ago for lucrative contracts when we had JUST drafted doctson on his rookie deal. Scot McCloughan was calling the shots then and he clearly believed in Doctson.
And we let crowder go in the same offseason that we let Doctson go - this one. Crowder got paid far more than we would have and we have Trey Quinn who is basically a younger cheaper Crowder.

I am annoyed. Would rather have Cam Sims or Jeremy Reaves over DRC.

Brian Quick is the only other name that stands out, but he's a JAG. We already mentioned Perine, I mean we heard good things about him in camp but it never translated to any of the games.

Due to getting some undrafted free agents and very low draft picks (like Terry Quinn who was a 7th rounder) in the WR group is the reason that group has come back. Getting a walk-on to make the roster, much less become a premium player, is a freaking miracle.
Steve Sims- undrafted
Terry Quinn - 7th round
Harmon - 6 th round
Of course the Redskins will claim it was all part of the plan for WR. But whether it was because we thought the players like DJax or Garçon or Crowder were getting too expensive or too old it was pretty much blind luck that we rebuilt the WR group this year.

None of these guys has had an NFL catch yet. Great promise, yes. Established WR come back, not yet.

Trey Quinn has 9 catches in regular season action. Not sure who Terry Quinn is, but he does have 0 catches...

My point exactly. We let 1000 Yd, proven WR walk out the door and are banking on rebuilding the WR crew based solely on POTENTIAL. If that potential turns into catches and TDs, then it was partially due to the blind luck of walk-ons and very low draft picks who RARELY workout.
