He just needs to play. He needs game reps. He's improving each week and now he has to sit on the bench and watch Case. Smh...
I don't think it will be that long of a wait but a stupid one none the less

With our OL I don't see any chance this team beats Philly or Dallas, the defense would have to play perfect football

If dallas doesn't have Zeke we have a shot, I'm a realist , this OL is not good without Trent, and especially with sorry ass Flowers starting at LG. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see how we beat either team. Again if the D turns into the 2018 Bears forcing all these turnovers then yes we will win

I wonder if a tremendous game day like Steve Sims had - a TD catch, and two outstanding Special Teams PR's can get him on the team. Reversely, having an absolute terrible game like Cam Sims, 1 for 7, drooped balls - will that negate an excellent TC and catches in other PS games.
I'd rather keep Steve Sims in the 6 WR group. I'd rather dump Doctson and keep Davis or Kids or yes, even Cam Sims. Doctson will have a mediocre season AGAIN and then will be gone off the team versus keeping a hungry player with a possible future on the team.

I'm with you! Gruden will keep Doctson thus passing up on new, younger, faster, cheaper and better WR who have much more long-term UPSIDE.
If Doctson has a normal year for him, the team still releases him at the end of the season. If he has a really good year (highly unlikely) another team will pick him ups. Either way he is gone.
I'd rather take a chance on Steve Sims or Davis who could have breakout years and/or breath fire in our ST.

I think you gotta factor in total body of work. How do they stack up in practices, do they stay late knowing they're on the bubble, are they putting in all of the work possible to get better? How well do they take direction in meetings? Combine all that with the in-game footage. All we hear is Cam Sims had a great camp, but he hasn't flashed at all in games yet. Vice versa for Steven Sims. It's a toss up at this point.

They'll keep Doc simply because he's still one the their better wr's and he's a 1st rounder. Jay is in win now mode so he's not going to throw out a bunch of guys with no experience. Doc IMO will be on the team. Look at how long Quick has been hanging around.
