Yeah, this is no surprise. Case's experience will potentially net a few more wins this year, especially early on. However, I don't expect him to start more games than Haskins over the course of the entire year.

Chico23231 08-25-2019, 06:57 PM Def want him out there the first 5 games httr198020 08-25-2019, 07:37 PM Haskins isn't ready for Philly. Schwartz would literally kill him blitzing from everywhere with two weeks to prepare. That's a difficult, pressure based defense to play against for veterans. It's the right move. Sent from my SM-G920V using TapatalkThis team won't be ready for anybody with Jay Gruden as our HC. We might pull off a few lucky wins. But sooner or later this team will collapse just like they do every year. FrenchSkin 08-25-2019, 07:42 PM While not excited by this "news", I have no issue with it as itself. I have an issue with it being announced so early though. One of the slight advantage we had over Philly in this game is they didn't know which QB to game plan for. Now they do. There are only 16 games in an NFL season, how you can throw away a small thing that could even slightly help you win one is beyond me. rocnrik 08-25-2019, 08:40 PM How much better place are we when the debate is between a QB that led a team to nfc championship few years ago and a rookie that has a huge chance to be a long term answer at the position!! My worst fear is throwing The rook to the wolves behind a sketchy OL and him getting hurt and a big set back.. we will know after the real games start what we have in Case .. if he sucks then maybe Haskins .. but I’m with a lot of you who agree with starting Case with that tough starting schedule.. OmahaRedskins 08-25-2019, 08:54 PM I have no issues with it. It is the right decision.I am looking forward to the season. I think Haskins starts after week 5. skinsnut 08-25-2019, 09:29 PM The bigger question will be who starts on the online. Chief X_Phackter 08-25-2019, 09:30 PM It's not a schedule thing for me. Right now Case is the better and more experienced QB. There's no value in sending out the less experienced guy, unless he totally separated himself from the competition, which he clearly did not. That's no way to get the rest of the team to buy into what you're doing either. Haskins will get his chance eventually... mooby 08-25-2019, 11:15 PM It's not a schedule thing for me. Gruden has never adjusted his scheme for a qb, except in the emergency situation last year. Schneed10 08-25-2019, 11:18 PM If you start Keenum and Keenum fails, you can go to Haskins in a situation where he can take his time and learn. On the other hand if you start with Haskins and he fails and you go to Keenum, you wonder if you just f’d his confidence. It’s an obvious choice. |
