Time to put the racist stuff away

Try telling that to the dems. On a different note I saw this on the back of an RV the other day, love it!!!

Most dems don't think the name is racist... the calls for the name to change have always come from an extremely small group of people who make a lot of noise. Sadly, I doubt any number of polls will change their mind.

Some will never let it go, saw a guy with a poster CHANGE THE NAME!!! when I was leaving training camp yesterday. He had on a tshirt resembling the logo with a white guy instead of the Indian head with CAUCASIONS written on it.

I thought this video was very cool, showing Native Americans as far as 1894.

So, this is what I don't understand:

I few years back the Post did a similar poll, with the same results. This, of course, was more detailed, and more than that, we now know it's 'Proud' those polled fell about the name. So, there must be some American Indian body that would be willing to work with the team, right?

It just makes so much sense to me.

In this partnership, Redskins as an organization would make Native rights their social justice cause. Huge benefit to the native American population, bringing light to their important issues, and moneyto help their communities. Think if the level of pride this would bring to the name for the American Indian population potentially.

2. Redskins adapt their branding and marketing to promote the partnership, vastly improve their public image, and capture more revenue. Think about it, all the people offended by the name would lose all basis for argument. All the fans that love the team, but feel guilty about the name would now feel justified in his pride in his team and spend more money because they want to be associated with the team and what it stands for and the money is going to a good cause.

3. With the stigma gone, the Redskins would be treated fairly by the league finally. Lol.

4. Also, think of how fucking cool it would be to build in features to the new stadium that celebrate native American history, art, architecture, etc. Also, I'm sorry, I would fucking love authentic native American dancing on the sidelines. Just think of the potential experience that could be created.

Agreed. That would also be a great way to ensure that the way the organization celebrates Native Americans is actually in line with how they want to be celebrated...
