Fox Sports radio reports Sean Taylor will turn himself Saturday after being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Redskins star safety in deep trouble. He reportedly fired shots at the home of people he believed had stolen an all-terrain vehicle of his. Taylor has been holding out of Redskins camp all summer in hopes of a new contract. This incident could keep him away from Washington for a while longer. Jun. 4 - 1:12 pm et

man and I really needed a good laugh today. this kid is a moron. do his parents even care that he is throwing away his future. he has no support group around him at all. the only player that sticks up for him is portis on the skins. this is a huge mess for the skins and taylor, what a shame.

How much would we save in cap space by cuttin' him now?
Innocent until proven guilty--that's the American way, but who says the Redskins (and their fans) have to wait around for this crap? If he's convicted, he'll have to sit out so many games anyway, and that's after he's served his time. How much time can you get for shootin' at someone's house? (Thank God no one, apparently, got hurt.)
...Of course, that assumes he's guilty. I haven't heard of a lot of guys being falsely accused of shooting at someone's house after that someone stole his ATV, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible. Did they find the gun?
I'll say this for him, he was a better pick that Winslow. ...but that's not sayin' much.
Did I ask how much cap space we can get by cuttin' him now?

What a waste of great talent. We should dump him.

yep. oh well i think we can't just cut him, i would trade him, at least get some value for him because he'll find a new home if we cut him.

WITHOUT CONDONING HIS ALLEGED ACTIONS, as usual, let's gain some perspective people... Cutting or trading him isn't an option.. IF he's charged, which seems likely, what are the chances that the charge will stay aggravated assault? For a first time offender, the charge will likely be reduced to reckless endangerment. He probably won't face any jail time and will be on probation, like probably 8-10% of the rest of the players in the NFL. Not to mention the whole 'innocent until proven guilty' thing.. Remember how everyone panicked and rushed to condem him on the DUI? Let's wait until the situation resolves itself completely before cleaning out his locker..

While these problems with ST are getting really old, really fast, I do agree that we should wait this thing out and not overreact.

I'm with you Paintrain, we should do what we can to get our money's worth.
...and in that spirit, I'd hope something like the following might happen:
*ring* *mumble*
Taylor's Mom: "Sean, Mr. Rosenhaus is on the phone."
Sean Taylor: "What does he want?"
Taylor's Mom: "He says that contract renegotiation isn't goin' so well anymore."
Sean Taylor: "Tell him I'll call him back."
*mumble* *click*
...forty-five seconds later...
*ring* *mumble*
Taylor's Mom: "Sean, Mr. Gibbs is on the phone."
Sean Taylor: "What does he want?"
Taylor's Mom: "He says you can't come to camp unless you renegotiate your contract."
Sean Taylor: "Huh? ...Let me talk to him!"
Taylor's Mom: "He hung up."
