I hope the other receivers perform well enough to severely limit his snaps, I gave up hope on him.
What kind of production does Doctson need in 2019 to stay with on them team ?Buffalo Bob 06-09-2019, 02:02 PM I hope the other receivers perform well enough to severely limit his snaps, I gave up hope on him. MTK 06-10-2019, 10:13 AM Even if Doctson somehow makes the pro bowl or is named an all pro the Redskins are going to move on from him in 2020....even if he puts up commendable numbers it would be too little too late at this point. That makes no sense, if he finally breaks out he'll earn a nice 2nd contract so why wouldn't it happen here? skinsfaninok 06-10-2019, 10:21 AM I just hope he can catch 50 passes and around 6 tds. He's not a WR1 punch it in 06-10-2019, 11:11 AM He hasn't been that good..... Let’s start with the little things like separation and catching footballs, than we can go from there... Chico23231 06-10-2019, 11:49 AM While we clearly don’t have a no1 wr, the best thing for Doctson would be to carve a roll out with squad and more importantly, playing consistent. There is value if he can do both. My preference is someone beats him out as starter opposite P Rich Defensewins 06-10-2019, 07:55 PM Really, what is the plan? to stink for 3 years and lose $$$$ in a 5th-year option To not be a Redskin. He got his rookie contract money and did not do anything to earn it. 5th year options benefits the team that has a great 5th year player, not the other way around. Now this little bitch can play for a big contract next year. He will he free. See how it benefits him? Irrefutable 06-10-2019, 10:13 PM To not be a Redskin. So paying Doctson $10 million in the 5th year would benefit the Redskins???? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/washington-redskins/josh-doctson-18970/ CRedskinsRule 06-10-2019, 11:15 PM So paying Doctson $10 million in the 5th year would benefit the Redskins???? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/washington-redskins/josh-doctson-18970/ No, that's why they didn't exercise it. BUT when a team does choose to use it, it generally is to their benefit, ie Scherff. IF Dotson had become a receiver worthy of the 1st round pick, and he hit the market, his value likely would have been 13-17 million per year. Maybe the Redskins get a slight benefit in his 5th-year option....all contracts are subject to the change in the market. However, Scherff is the 3rd highest paid guard in 2019. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/cap-hit/guard/ Ruhskins 06-11-2019, 02:47 PM "@JPFinlayNBCS Gruden says he “cant promise” that Josh Doctson is going to get a ton of opportunities considering the other talent on the offense. Doctson will get his chances." Translation = Gruden is done with Doctson. |
