The reason Dan keeps Bruce around is because Dan is calling more shots than folks are aware of. Bruce is a lackey for Dan and Dan knows anyone who comes in, will only come in if Dan is separated from all football decisions.

That’s the mountain we’ve faced the last 20 years

That sounds more like Vinny. Im convinced it is because of some other warped idea Dan has about him. Enjoys his company on the yacht bullshit. If Dan is really a fuckin fan he would get a damned football guy in there at the helm. But he aint. He is an egotistical lil bitch who likes power more than the b and g. Eff him and the yacht he rode in on. Ahh that felt good.

They cared enough about Trent Williams to be loyal to him and, despite multiple injuries and back to back suspensions, make him the highest paid offensive lineman in the league 3 years ago.

They care enough about Trent Williams to, for a change, remain mostly silent, instead of leaking reports to make him look bad like they have consistently done during Bruce Allen’s tenure.

Snyder and Bruce have been uncharacteristically smart and loyal to Trent Williams. It’s a shame he refuses to return that loyalty and blame the medical staff for his own negligence. They told him to get a second opinion. He didn’t listen.

At this point, I’m done with Trent Williams. He can try to pretend he’s taking some moral stand, but ultimately he’s placed blame at the wrong place when he should be looking in the mirror. I appreciate all he’s done for this team, but If this is how he wants to repay the team that’s been so good to him, then I want him gone.

And for what it’s worth, i want Bruce Allen gone too. While i think he’s handling this situation well, the majority of the time, HE is the problem.

They were loyal to trent because he has been the best damn LT in football for ten years. The best LT in the game smokes a joint u dont fire him. They r idiots and TW has had enough. The end. Uncharacteristically loyal to Trent? Really? Nothing uncharacteristic about wanting to keep a generational talent at a very important position around.

Speaking of back stories, what is the story behind Smoots Warpath retirement?

I remember him posting that he just had alot going on and couldn’t contribute the way he wanted too. He would never leave because of some petty crap. Dude was awesome.

I agree !!! I still say this could be all about a drug test ... if he knows he won’t pass because of off-season weed use.. and for the record I don’t gave a issue with that at all!

When is the NFL going to stop testing for marijuana? It appears to be legal for medical or recreational use in about half the states. I wonder what the hang up is? Is it the owner demographic? Elderly men that still think pot use leads to heroin addiction. I don't get it? For the record I am almost 60, never more than tried it, yet I believe if it is legal to have a beer it should be legal to have a joint. I still know people my age that have a very low opinion of pot smokers, yet they would never say a word about someone who over consumed alcohol.

Vinny was on Sheehan's podcast not too long ago. One thing that really stood out was he said that Dan's never wrong. In other words, if Dan made a decision on a player and it blew up in their faces ( Fat Albert) it was never his fault.

Snyder has become so insulated over the years. I often wonder w/ all the money and power he has if he's ever really happy, hiding out on his mega yacht.

I think inside of Redskin Park there are good football people, like Kyle Smith. But at least on the football side of things, Snyder is always going to have a say who the QB is going to be aka Haskins. Let's just hope it works out. It's really one of the few things that's keeping me going with this franchise.

I think in the states where it's totally legal and there's a football team, Ca and Colorado come to mind, the NFL could have a legal issue if players really wanted to push it.

Finished watching Geron's tape from Thursday... Yikes, constantly getting manhandled, lacks quickness as well. If he is the starting LT, we are going to be really bad on offense.

Pass blocking grade = 49.1
Run blocking grade = 47.1

Through 2 games so far.

Could not agree more. Cannabis has been proven time and again as an effective pain reliever for injuries, illnesses and the like. This needs to change.

And I have a feeling it will be a huge topic on the upcoming CBA. Players will demand that marijuana testing be removed from the league entirely.

What leads to heroin addiction is athletes (yeah even high school athletes) sustaining a serious injury and they are prescribed narcotics, like oxycodone as a pain killer. These pain killers possess a high risk of addiction. Then when the prescriptions run out, you have essentially created an addict that usually turn to heroin to satisfy that addiction.

I for one would much rather see that athlete use marijuana which is less addictive and it just frigging works.

The league is probably holding onto it for now simply as a chip to give away in the bargaining process.

He just isn't strong enough and it's obvious. Not sue Penn's any better. LT is going to be a total mess if TW doesn't show up.
