Chief X_Phackter 12-21-2020, 11:19 AM Yeah I am glad he actually showed some promise though but his turnovers are always just so damn bad. It’s like he doesn’t even see the defense at all. That’s why you can’t trust the college tape as much as you’d like. His Film was as good as it gets from OSU.
2020:
DH - 6 games (5 starts), 5 TDs, 5 INTs
AS - 7 games (5 starts), 4 TDs, 6 INTs

You forgot to compare their W-L records. That's the most important QB stat of all.

Yep.
And if you look at the INTs, most of Alex's were tipped balls or the receiver falling down (McKissic vs Giants).
Dwayne's INTs were ugly throws right to a defender or three.

I agree. W-L record is the most important, and I have said that. The team has won more than not with Alex at QB.
However, I'm talking about turnovers, since that seems to be the measuring stick for DH.

Alex has thrown it right to the defender this year too. Yes McKissic slipped on that one INT, but a TO is a TO.
The first INT yesterday was a tipped ball too, and a fantastic diving catch by the DB. The second INT - he thought Reed was going to stay with McLaurin, but he came back and undercut the throw. There were not three defenders around either INT. Seattle's DBs made two great plays.

Yeah, he threw it into a group of white shirts. That happens when you stare down your receiver the entire time. Go to the wide-open Barber and he gets to at least the 30.

He was definitely staring down Sims on the 2nd INT. Barber was the safe throw.
The more I look at the 1st INT, the more I think it was Wright who F'd that play up. He was too deep on his route, and tipped the pass to Griffin. Otherwise Sims catches that ball on the 5.
SunnySide 12-21-2020, 04:39 PM Im having a hard time, since week 1, trying to decide how much Turner scales down the playbook with Haskins. What percent of Haskins limitations is him not seeing things vs not getting the chance bc we call a watered down playbook for him? if that makes any sense.
Come week 17, if we win next week and Giants lose .... lets open up the playbook for Haskins and see what happens.

If this is true, fuck him and I take back all the good things I said. He could pass Covid to the team in this critical stage, I would cut his ass outright. There is no room for imbeciles.
