You know what's crazy? Alex Smith could be the starter next yr
If Smith comes back and starts over Haskins that's a huge red flag that Haskins is bust city.

I'm already 50% there w/ Haskins being a bust. They didn't even put him in against a college team.

Cooley said on his pod recently that Smith is doing fantastic physically and he has a great chance to be ready for the opener in 2020. No clue on if he plays here or is traded, etc. From hearing what other people are saying Smith is no longer walking with a limp and he has even been doing some very light running / treadmill work. He is well on his way to making it back. I didn't think he would ever play again, and i hope I was wrong thinking that.
