If you think this signing is good, then you are just as fucking bad as our shitty ass GM. This team doesn't need a 14mil/yr safety who's not going to do much for our team. He's not going to help with pass coverage because he's a in the box type safety. He's not going to help with our LBs not being able to cover/tackle. He's not going to help with our shitty QB play. He's not going to help with our in-consistent blocking.

Just a overall dumbass move. We need to call this season what it is. A lame duck season for Gruden and Bruce Allen. Allen sure knows how to sucker you guys. Just sign the hottest guy and BLAM, you're right back into the kool-aid.

Mark my words. This team will be no better than 7-9 next year, and we're fucking our salary cap in doing so. It's better to build a team from bottom up conserving that cap until we need to spend it. Sure there is a cap floor, but that doesn't mean you need to spend it all. You can roll over unused cap. Good teams do this. Bad teams like ours waste it and max it out on average players.Gotta disagree on a few things. Our safeties tackling was a huge issue last year. Often the scheme was good and players whiffed. Collins won't whiff. We have competent CBs our issue was often middle of the field, like TEs. Again LC will help. Our D had shining moments, especially the front line so a strong mid field presence was crucial.

Whether the price was worth it is a separate question and for now I think we have to wait on answering it.

Somewhere Bruce Allen is sitting back sipping on crown royal with lil Danny thinking........"suckers" .........as he watches all the Redskins fan direct their attention to the shiny new toy.

Lotsa Bama dudes on this D. And potentially CJ Mosley too?

Hail Tide. Or Roll to the Redskins.

I guess if you're gonna go after one school's talent, Bama's a good one to focus on.

I can agree we overpaid. But we also filled a need with a young elite player.
If all the right moves are made (ZB, MF, VD, Scherff) we'd be looking at nearly 30M of available cap space, where would that cap be better spent ?

I assume Smith comes off the books next year. As well as Norman? Maybe they felt that whomever is playing QB for this team won't be making 2nd contract money, so they felt they could over spend on a player or two. That is the only reason I can see them doing this signing. . Otherwise I just don't get it at all.

I liked Landon definitely a plus in the locker room and he is a great tackler . I thought the Giants should have moved him up to a LBer but that was me. He can not cover a cold and has been hurt the last two seasons ,he will be missed but I think the Skins way ,way over paid for him.

If Collins cap number is less than $10 million in 2019 and they intend to sign their draft choices.... then they are out of money.

Time to make cuts

I didn't see this coming, we had such a perfect team in place last year. There's no easy cut on this roster!

Apparently they think everyone has some trade value.
