I really hope this isn't true about Green. With all the issues we've had w/ injuries, why would they go after Green? How about develop one of your own Wr's. How about draft one or two that can actually stay on the field and produce.

Right now Bruce and Jay are definitely desperate...both jobs on the line

Love AP's contract.

So far it almost feels like our FO's thinking "let's build a badass D, admit next season is a rebuilding one, and worry about the offense later"... But Jay and/or Bruce having to save their jobs, I don't see them going into the season with so many holes on one side of the ball.

Per OTC (https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/washington-redskins/), we currently have 16.8M available, not including AP's 2.5M cap hit.
So that's 14.3M.
Could create some more space by extending Scherff (WTF are they waiting for?!!!) and cutting VD (maybe even Mason Foster but then you have to worry about ILB depth).

So we still have some cap to maneuver with.
What I would prefer to happen is us signing a proven vet at LG and a solid #2 like Donte Moncrief, then go WR/Edge rusher in the first 2 rounds... and hope you can trade for Rosen or do something at QB without compromising your future...

That is a lot to ask for with only 14.3 million available and still needing to draft. Agree cuts need to be made but as you point at what cost? I never feel like the Skins ever go in with an adequate amount of $ and are always up against the cap going into FA and draft. Would love for them to blow the whole thing up and go into a full rebuild.

Agreed, he hurt his toe last year, came back and re-injured it, not a good sign.
A lot of skill position players decline quickly after 30.

Trading for AJ Green would not hinder the development of young players or stop the team from drafting a WR.

I think injuries would be a concern and the money of course. But a healthy AJ Green in 2019 would be huge for the team.

That's assuming we could get Rosen, which right now I'll admit is a pretty big reach... but even if we don't, Keenum has proven to be capable of playing decently with the proper supporting cast.

Would lOVE AJ Green. Even at 31, he's still a match up nightmare for any team with his size and still decent speed.

Do it!

How about r Cobb or g tate

Tate is a slot and we already have Quinn who I think will be a good Crowder replacement.
