no chance, McCoy averaged 3.2 yards per carry and has a $9.2 million dollar contractAre we not keeping AD? Thought they were talking contract

I have no idea what Peterson wants and how close they are to signing him. They are not going to pay $9+ million for a RB.

There is very little cap space now. However, that could change with veteran cuts.

It appears that Zac Brown could be cut, they said it would create 7M in cap space I believe, and with Foster there I could see Brown going bye bye.

Thanks Elway and Denver for stepping in front of that bullet for us.

That would have given the Redskins about $42 million spent on QBs in 2019....brilliant plan

Who would have thought going into the season with Colt as the starter is probably the most realistic and smart scenario at this point.

Even if the team mortgages the future again for a 1st round QB, it makes sense to let him learn the offense behind Colt for a stretch.

Everybody knows full well that Bruce & Co. can totally make the situation worse for the team both this year and in the future by drafting stupidly (bad pick trades and reaching) and in free agency.

The skins were never real bidders, they can't afford Flacco or foles. People need to realize it's going to be Kyler or Daniel Jones as QB1 come Sept.

Never say never. This situation reminds me of the salary cap penalty years of 2012-13 (obligatory fuck John Mara) where we lost 18 million each year. With the increase of the cap every year the percentages lost were way worse in 2012/13.

Salary cap
2012: 120.6mil
2013: 123 mil

18 mil penalty each year:
15 percent of the cap in 2012
14.6% of the cap in 2013.
---------------------------------------
Est. salary cap for 2019: 191 mil
Alex Smith cap hit 20.4 mil
10.6% of the cap to AS.

Schneed will probably clean up my math here in a bit, but I don't think I'm way off the actual percentages. If we release AS that number goes way up because the rest of his guaranteed money adds to the cap hit.

Will it hurt? Definitely. Is it crippling? No, because we can still trade our next 3 first rounders for Kyler Murray :D.

Do the math, Flacco was never going to happen
