GoSkins! 06-03-2005, 11:33 PM Don't worry Matty, if anything happens I won't pull a CRT3 and demand an avator change.... :)
But seriously.....look at the avator. It's almost like he's saying, "What the f#ck am I doing here?"
Or "don't shoot"!
Seriously, we can't afford to cut him unless this kind of thing voids some part of his contract. 6 mil cap hit. Maybe he should be forced to ride the bench for the season. He can't stand that. Someone needs to show this kid that he has crossed the line, for his own good. Of course, it may be the police, not he Skins that end up doing it.
Sheriff Gonna Getcha 06-03-2005, 11:42 PM If there is a warrant, that mean's there's probable cause - which means there's a good chance he committed the crime.
mooby 06-03-2005, 11:43 PM oh well what's done is done. damn him and the draft pick we wasted on him. i wouldn't even consider releasing a player of his caliber, i would trade him.
I figured it would be worth seeing what's going on with a similar situation in Indy with Mike Doss, I'm not holding my breath for an apology from Taylor if and when he ever shows up in DC:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2074512
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Mike Doss returned to practice Thursday with the Indianapolis Colts and apologized for being arrested last weekend.
The Colts' starting strong safety is facing a felony weapons charge and three misdemeanor charges after Akron, Ohio, police estimated hearing five to six gunshots outside a local restaurant early Sunday.
Doss missed the team's voluntary workout Tuesday to take care of his legal matters and was a no-show Wednesday. When he returned Thursday, Doss wasted no time in making amends.
"First off, I'd like to apologize to the organization, the Indianapolis Colts," he said. "I apologize to my teammates. We don't need this distraction going."
Doss, taken in the second round of the 2003 draft from Ohio State, has 150 career tackles and had three career interceptions over two seasons.
He faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon, inducing panic, obstructing official business and discharging a weapon within the city limits. He also could face discipline by the NFL.
Colts coach Tony Dungy, who has said Doss would be disciplined by the team, said he hoped things would return to normal now.
"It's a difficult time for all of us," Dungy said. "You don't want to see anything happen to any part of your family. I think we have stood behind Mike and will continue to do that."
Doss has not entered a plea but has signed papers that will allow a Summit County grand jury to consider whether there are grounds for the charges. The grand jury is scheduled to meet Friday.
"For my family and for myself, everything will get handled through the judicial system," Doss said. "I will go from there."
Schneed10 06-03-2005, 11:50 PM Don't release him, because then he'd hit the open market and get a sweet deal. Trade him somewhere, to the team he'd hate to be on most, so he would be forced to keep the shitty deal he signed as a rookie.
Punish him as much as humanly possible. Send him to a shitty team along with his shitty contract.
I'm holding out hope that he's an innocent bystander in all this. But if he's involved criminally, ship him out.
Sheriff Gonna Getcha 06-03-2005, 11:52 PM If he is arrested for assault (and he's convicted or pleads out), he's definately getting jail time. In fact, if he fired the weapon at people, he could be charged with attempted murder.
Sheriff Gonna Getcha 06-03-2005, 11:53 PM Release him? Hell no, that's crazy.
SC is going to love this story. And it gives him plenty of reasons to bash Taylor. If Taylor is involved he's such an arse.
Schneed10 06-04-2005, 12:03 AM I want to be at the home opener so bad so I can boo his ass every chance I get.
manicd 06-04-2005, 12:15 AM Man, this makes Gibbs look bad too. After he went out and stated he put so much time looking for good character. I mean, even if he isn't guilty in this, his name is already synonymous with negativity. If I were Gibbs, I'd kick his ass to the curb. We can live without him for sure. Of course, there is the possibility that Jerry Jones hired one of the Cowboys to pose as Taylor and do this. We all know all the Cowboy players own guns.

Two years ago there was no Sean Taylor in the NFL. Of course we can live without him. The game can go on without him just fine. He needs to realize this fact. I'm pretty sure it was the Patriots that won the superbowl last year... and they did it without Sean Taylor.
Until today I thought his antics were just immature and selfish. I thought he would grow out of them. But now he had to go and take it to a new level.
