Schneed10 01-09-2019, 05:15 PM This is the reality of the situation.... and this is why I feel Manusky will be back.
I agree. I don't think Gruden wants him back, I don't think Allen wants him back, and I think Snyder has no idea and just wants to get better.
But they'll have to take him back, because there will be no better option.
I would hire Gregg or Todd in a NY minute, but they'll choose someplace else, almost certainly.
Schneed10 01-09-2019, 05:19 PM At this point you have to see the logic in a Trust the Process type nosedive to hell in order to come out the other side.
Trade Kerrigan, trade Trent, trade anybody over the age of 27 who has some value. Stockpile picks. Start McCoy in 2019, take all the Ls, and come out guns blazing in the 2020 draft with a new coach and a new front office.
BigHairedAristocrat 01-09-2019, 05:47 PM Well, we'll atleast be getting a new Special Teams Coordinator. Evidently we fired Ben Kotwica on the DL because Atlanta's already announced they hired him LOL.
Schneed10 01-09-2019, 06:02 PM Makes you wonder what other moves we've made on the DL.
NC_Skins 01-09-2019, 06:22 PM Is it bad that I really don't care at this point? It means nothing if Bruce Allen is still here in any capacity. Just moving parts around in a busted ass engine going nowhere. In fact, we have retained a lame duck coach who'll be coaching in a lame duck season next year. Not much to look forward to.

Pretty much what I would do. 2019 is a lame duck year. We're fucked at the QB position right from the start. I'd do exactly what Schneed proposes here.
SolidSnake84 01-09-2019, 06:39 PM perhaps an offseason or two of all the top coaching candidates telling us "thanks but no thanks" is exactly what Snyder needs to see to realize that his shit does indeed stink - very badly.
But what good would it do? Snyder isn't going away, so i doubt he even cares that nobody wants to work with him. If he did care, he would have made changes by now.
5superbowls3wins 01-09-2019, 06:47 PM Rumor being floated that Ben K wanted out and left for Atlanta. Wasn’t fired
Also hearing Bill Callahan and Tomsula are trying to get out as well.

He does care. He's made big changes before. He used to fire coaches left and right. He was too trigger happy. Had he been more patient with the likes of Turner and Marty, we could have built something. Finally, he hired Bruce, who we thought was a "real GM" and were all ecstatic over... but now Snyder's gotten too patient. He's gone from one extreme to the other.
At this point, our own coaches want out. The reports are that the skins did not fire Kotwica. I'm wondering if he made it known he wanted out and so Gruden let him. Reports are that Tomsula and Callahan are unhappy as well.
I don't think we've hit rock bottom yet.
At some point, Snyder will clean house, just like he did post-Zorn/Cerrato. We were all hoping it would be this year, but its looking like we may have to wait for 2020.

Or Gruden surprises us and they win 13 next year and make a deep playoff run
