When the broncos, 49ers, and now raiders have hired talking heads with no front office experience as actual GMs, it’s not unreasonable to think Cooley could get a job as a director of college scouting or something somewhere. He has never openly criticised Dan and had been very veiled in anything that could be construed as criticism toward Bruce. His code word for Bruce is talking about the FO generically. With respect to Dan, his go to answer is this wasn't a great move by the FO but Dan wants to win. He always couches it in shots taken at the FO, never at Dan and Bruce directly. You won't find too many people that are publicly critical of their boss, regardless if it's the truth or not. Now if Cooley were employed by The FAN, then he very well might be.
