Cooley knows the game he should definitely get into coaching
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkCooley is in a very unique position.
He is highly intelligent and has gained experience in two very different but very successful offensive systems. (Gibbs and Shanny).

Whatever the speculation is with Cooley when it comes to coaching or front office, etc., he needs to come in and earn his stripes. Assistant to something. Skins do themselves zero favors bringing in old skins into influential positions. It’s not a good look.
If anything the Skins need to bring in guys from successful orgs to show them how to run a competent front office. Eric Schaffer seems to be the only guy who has earned his way and has done a good job. People say Kyle Smith...I just don’t know what he has actually done.
There is a list of guys outside the org who have clearly earned a chance to be GM...I’d like us to go this route. Cooley, Doug Williams, Bruce Allen, Kyle Smith...not exactly the group of people who I believe can get it right.

What had Sean mcvay done before he was given the opportunity? If we don’t give him a shot, someone else will. I’m tired of letting our top talent go elsewhere and succeed

Listening to him over the past couple years, i think he’d be more interested in a job in the front office.

The fact there were major resignations recently and Allen seems to have maintained his influence over the team's front office....it seems Snyder hasn't taken into consideration the team's never ending failure under Shanahan and Gruden (both Bruce Allen hires) which has produced 59 wins 83 losses and 1 tie. That's an embarrassing, horrible, pitiful, pathetic, egregious, satanic, and.disgustingly bloody menstrual cycle .412 winning percentage....let's face facts....the only thing that's keeping Bruce Allen in the position he's in is the fact that he's George Allen's son....
The firings were Snyder’s call, not Allen’s, although I’m sure he didn’t mind.
If Allen stays as team president, he certainly doesn’t know it yet. Loverro reported that Allen is fearful for his job and that he and jays decision to get rid of Swearinger was a “Hail Mary” attempt at maintaining some semblance of control.
I would be shocked if Allen isn’t removed from his current job... perhaps just a little over 24 hours from now.

Idk, maybe it's just me but there's a difference between knowing the game and being able to teach others the game. The former is being a great player and the latter is being a great coach.
Just to use the most recent example that comes to mind, Adam Oates was a HOFer for the Caps, by all accounts knew the game, but he was absolutely atrocious as a coach.
